Job Description:

Assumes shift responsibility and accountability for the planning and provision of direct and indirect nursing care to the patient, family, care partner and appropriate others. Coordinates multi-disciplinary team members, directs, and facilitates nursing staff in obtaining safe, optimal health care outcomes. This position supports activities that meet the facility vision, mission, and goals. This position provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. Oversees and guides employees that are under his/her supervision. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Qualifications

Job Requirements:

Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing. BSN required.

Experience:
Minimum of one-year full time or three years part time experience in acute care specialty nursing. One to three years supervisory experience preferred.

Technical Skills:
Must be proficient in physical assessment of the cardiovascular patient and fluent in cardiovascular anatomy and physiology. Candidate must be comfortable with 12 lead EKG interpretation and cardiac arrhythmias. Knowledgeable and experienced in stress testing is preferred.

License/Certification:

Current RN license in the State of Nevada. Current BLS certification. ACLS, PALS, NRP and/or required specialty training or course completion (current upon hire).

Other:
Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.

Responsible for the nutritional care, treatment, rehabilitation and education to patients based on patient assessments of needs, conditions, impairments, disabilities and age. Job Description:

Responsible for providing a comprehensive evaluation of performance components affecting functional mobility and providing goal-oriented treatment to facilitate maximum level of independence.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from a university program satisfying the APTA academic and intern requirements for competence.

License/Certification:

Nevada State Licensure of a Registered Physical Therapist (see note below). Current BCLS certification.

Other:

Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department.

Job Description:

Responsible for performing patient care/service activities/procedures as outlined by the state board of nursing and within the Nevada Nurse Practice Act. Performs assigned duties under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.

Qualifications

Education:

Completion of education/experience necessary to obtain CNA Certification from Nevada State Board of Nursing.

License/Certification:

Current CNA license in the State of Nevada. Current BLS certification

Summerlin Hospital is a 496-bed hospital featuring emergency services; a busy maternity department with an average of 450 deliveries per month; a Children’s Medical Center with a NICU, a pediatric ICU and separate pediatric ER; advanced cardiovascular care, surgical services, women’s health, and oncology care. Job Description:

Performs the basic activities and related professional services necessary in the care and handling of surgical instruments.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

Education:
High School Graduate or equivalent preferred.

Experience:

No experience necessary, completion of formal training in field preferred.

Technical Skills:

Due to the highly technical nature, especially related to interpretation of manufacturer’s Instructions for Use (IFU), ALL SPD staff must be proficient in spoken and written English.

License/Certification:

None

Other:

This is a 12-month time limited position. SPD intern will be trained and educated on the job to care for and reprocess reusable medical equipment and surgical instrumentation. The intern will successfully pass all hospital competencies for department. Certification as Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) through International Association of Healthcare Central Sterile Materiel

Management (IAHCSMM)) is required by the end of 12 months.
