The Tech Temp Strength Training Group Fitness Instructor is responsible for leading safe, effective, and engaging fitness classes at the Georgia Tech Campus Recreation Center. The instructor will work with a diverse community of students, staff, and members to provide high-quality fitness instruction in a welcoming and inclusive environment. This position offers a great opportunity for experienced fitness professionals to inspire and motivate others to achieve their health and fitness goals. This position reports to the Fitness Coordinator. Parking is not covered by the employer.

• Plan and teach strength training group fitness classes. Additional modalities and fusion classes are welcomed.

• Tailor class formats and intensity levels to accommodate participants of varying fitness levels and abilities.

• Ensure participant safety by providing modifications, using proper techniques, and maintaining awareness of emergency procedures.

• Engage participants by fostering an inclusive, encouraging environment while promoting a healthy lifestyle.

• Set up and maintain equipment before and after each class, ensuring a clean and safe workout area.

• Stay current with fitness trends and continuously improve teaching skills through workshops and certifications.

• Comply with Georgia Tech and Campus Recreation Center policies and safety guidelines.

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree required in recreation, college student
personnel, sports management, or related field.

Required Experience
Two or more years of experience supervising or advising student leaders and experience with a Higher Education Official's Development Program.

• Current group fitness certification from a nationally accredited organization (e.g., ACE, NETA, ACSM).

• CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to inspire and motivate participants in a positive, supportive manner.

Responsible for assisting with putting away delivered products according to established guidelines and maintains overall kitchen cleanliness. Ensures the dock is maintained and kept clean to be in accordance with department guidelines

Job Duty 1 -
Receives, inspects, unloads, records, and stocks items received.

Job Duty 2 -
Pulls, stages, delivers, and completes transfer paperwork to various campus locations. Assists with unloading of product at each location. Responds quickly and accurately to all product inquiries by food service personnel.

Job Duty 3 -
Counts inventory in stock and posts to inventory record. Checks inventory levels to assure required product is in stock for both regular business and pandemic planning requirements. Completes receiving report as required.

Job Duty 4 -
Follows First In First Out (FIFO) inventory method and set guidelines established by the department.

Job Duty 5 -
Reconciles all discrepancies immediately with management team. Forwards all product paperwork to administrative team.

Job Duty 6 -
Identifies inventoried items with appropriate labeling techniques, decals, or UPC bar codes.

Job Duty 7 -
7. Prepares requisitions or other documents for purchasing new stock items. Assists in setting up pre-inventory sheets.

Job Duty 8 -
Performs clerical duties such as filing purchase orders and other inventory documents.

Job Duty 9 -
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements
High School Diploma/GED or Vocational School Diploma.

Required Experience
One or more year of job-related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Perform a variety of duties related to the protection of life and property. Job Duty 1 -
Engage in law enforcement patrol functions by foot, bike or other motorized equipment physically checking doors and windows of buildings to ensure they are secure. Conduct visual and audio surveillance.

Job Duty 2 -
Assist police officers with an arrest, forcibly if necessary, using handcuffs and other restraints; subdue resisting suspects using maneuvers and weapons (non-firearms) and resort to the use of hands and feet and other approved weapons in self-defense.

Job Duty 3 -
Prepare investigative and other reports, including sketches, using appropriate grammar, symbols and mathematical computations.

Job Duty 4 -
Perform rescue functions at accidents, emergencies and disasters to include directing traffic for long periods of time, administering emergency medical aid, lifting, dragging and removing people from dangerous situations and securing and evacuating people from particular areas.

Georgia Tech Research Institute's program seeks students pursuing a High School diploma with an interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math to join our Summer Internship Program. • Provide housekeeping services within assigned area, to include: emptying of trash receptacles, dusting, spot cleaning, cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, medical and food service care, restocking supplies, mopping, sweeping and vacuuming

• Operate and maintain power equipment which may include carpet vacuums, canister and tank vacuums, wide-area vacuums, backpack vacuums, spot cleaning machines and other powered equipment

• Maintain housekeeping/storage closets, tools and equipment in a clean, orderly condition

• Utilize prescribed safety equipment as required

• Utilize chemicals and supplies in a safe and prescribed manner

• Respond to work requests from building occupants and the department's service request system

• Perform other duties as assigned

Required education: Equivalent combination of education and experience

Required experience: One year of job-related experience

Preferred education: High school diploma or GED or Vocational School Diploma

• This job requires basic skills in delivery of housekeeping services including operation of cleaning equipment and use of cleaning supplies.

• Must be able to work second shift (5:00pm-2:00am) and the occasional first shift (5:45am-2:00pm) as needed.
