CoxHealth is proud to be a Level I Stroke and Trauma Center, and our 800 Neuro-Ortho unit plays a vital role in delivering exceptional care to these patients. As a 26-bed unit, we specialize in treating a wide range of complex conditions, including stroke, trauma, and neurosurgical cases. Our patient population is diverse, ranging in age from 18 to 102, offering a broad spectrum of clinical experiences.
The 800 unit is a fast-paced, dynamic environment where each day presents new challenges and rewarding opportunities. - Job Summary
Functions within a classroom and clinical learning environment to obtain training as unlicensed assistive personnel. While in the clinical learning environment, will provide basic patient care under direction and supervision of clinical educator and nursing staff. During clinical rotation, may perform duties such as taking vitals, bathing, dressing, moving patients, changing linens and other duties within their scope of practice as directed. While in clinical setting, obtains information on patient condition as requested by the nursing staff or clinical educator and reports any changes in patient condition. 200 Medical-Surgical is a 30-bed unit that cares for patients admitted from the Emergency Department, Post-Anesthesia Care Unit, Critical Care Units, and physician offices. The team serves a broad age range, from young adults to patients over 100 — offering diverse and valuable clinical experiences.
The unit specializes in medical, surgical, and gynecologic/oncology care. Common procedures include hysterectomies, mastectomies, bowel resections, and various oncology surgeries. Chemotherapy is occasionally administered, and patients mayrequiretelemetry monitoring or oxygen support.

900 East is a 30-bed adult medical-surgical unit specializing in post-operative care for gastrointestinal (GI) and genitourinary (GU) surgical patients. We are also proud to be recognized as a Center of Excellence for bariatric surgery.
Our unit features a combination of private and semi-private rooms designed for comfort and healing. While we do not offer telemetry or cardiac monitoring, our dedicated team provides high-quality, patient-centered care with a strong emphasis on collaboration and teamwork.

900 East is a 30-bed adult medical-surgical unit specializing in post-operative care for gastrointestinal (GI) and genitourinary (GU) surgical patients. We are also proud to be recognized as a Center of Excellence for bariatric surgery.
Our unit features a combination of private and semi-private rooms designed for comfort and healing. While we do not offer telemetry or cardiac monitoring, our dedicated team provides high-quality, patient-centered care with a strong emphasis on collaboration and teamwork.
