We are seeking a Critical Care Medicine Physician in Alabama for a 42-day assignment, commencing May 4, 2026. This role involves managing critical care patients across two intensive care units, working 12-hour shifts (7a-7p or 7p-7a). The physician will be responsible for comprehensive ICU care, including advanced procedures like central and arterial line placement, as well as ventilator management.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage patients across two intensive care units, with each intensivist overseeing a unit during day shifts.
- Provide critical care coverage during night shifts, collaborating with an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) on one of the units.
- Perform critical care medicine procedures, including but not limited to central lines, arterial lines, paracentesis, thoracentesis, cardiovascular resuscitation/management of hemodynamic instability, management of multi-organ dysfunction, vent management, and intubation.

Join us in making a difference in the early detection of hearing loss in newborns as a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician! As a newborn hearing screen technician, you will provide hearing screens in the hospital after a baby is born. You will work on-site at one or more hospital locations to screen newborns for hearing loss. At Pediatrix, you will receive on-the-job training. This includes annual certification accredited by the American Academy of Audiology. By offering this certification, we strive to ensure our employees are adept in improving early detection of hearing impairments and encouraging timely intervention.
Responsibilities
On a typical day, you will conduct newborn hearing screens, usually in a new mom's hospital room, and help educate parents about the importance of the screen using video and printed tools we provide. You will also be in charge of entering patient data and validation of hearing screens, as needed. Additional responsibilities may include helping to confirm or reschedule outpatient appointments, following up on any equipment issues and training new staff.

- Documenting hearing screen results accurately
- Following protocol for timely submission of billing
- Following protocol related to security and identification of infants

Qualifications

Job Highlights: The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) position for the Anesthesia Critical Care team in the Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (NICU) role includes providing inpatient critical care services and participating within an interdisciplinary team serving as a consult/co-managing service for Neurosurgery & Neurology patients admitted to the NICU.

Be the Regional Chief Nursing Officer you've always aspired to be
- Solicits and receives feedback from local CNOs regarding the quality of care and outcomes.
- Creates a positive impact on productivity, costs, quality and timely delivery of services.
- Reviews and monitors hospitals' critical numbers and takes actions to reverse negative trends.
- Ensures CNOs adhere to the requirements of The Joint Commission and other regulatory compliance.
- Serves on and supports the nursing advisory board.
- Consults and assists other hospitals in need within the region.
- Provides information and clinical perspective on various nursing responsibilities.
- Supports the Regional Team and serves as a resource to the SVP, the region's CEOs, and CNOs.
- Communicates with local CNOs on documentation forms and standards, outcomes and best practices.
- Trains and assists new CNOs in his/her orientation and on boarding.
- Provides leadership to nursing teams to identify new nursing issues and concerns.
- Celebrate the achievements of your staff and patients along the way.
Qualifications
- Current RN licensure appropriate to state regulations.
- BLS certification ACLS preferred.
- CRRN certification preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field required, or another appropriate degree, unless higher degree required by state.
- Five years experience in inpatient hospital setting.
- Two years Nursing Management experience with responsibilities including such as 24 hour accountability, FTE management, policy, procedure, and budgetary oversight, and conducting disciplinary action.
- Equivalent professional experience commensurate with a Master's degree.
- Minimum 2 years experience in Director of Nursing/CNO or equivalent role in an acute care or rehab setting.
