Job Title: HR Specialist

Job Location: 1600 Rock Creek Blvd, Joliet, IL 60431

Type: Temp to Hire(3 Months)

Overview:

The Human Resources Specialist manages full-cycle recruitment and supports daily HR operations, including hiring coordination, employee relations, and personnel actions, while ensuring compliance with company policies and employment regulations.

Duties:

• Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including resume screening, candidate evaluation, initial interviews, and coordination of subsequent interview stages with hiring managers.
• Prepare and present candidate assessments and hiring recommendations to management.
• Oversee administrative staff and support personnel-related actions, including onboarding, role changes, and internal transfers.
• Serve as the primary liaison with third-party recruitment agencies and external HR service providers to fulfill staffing requirements.
• Address employee relations matters, including complaints, investigations, and management consultations, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Two to five years of experience in HR, recruitment, or a related role.
• Experience managing full-cycle recruitment processes.
• Experience handling employee relations matters, and workplace investigations preferred.
• Strong understanding of recruitment strategies and interview techniques.
• Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.

Preferred:

• Bilingual in English and Spanish or Mandarin Work Location: In person

• Clinical Role:
  • CRNA turnover rate is very low
  • General structure of the team: MD/CRNA care model
  • 100% supervised
  • Shift times are variable with potential for call
  • At least one 24-hour shift per month must be on a Saturday or Sunday
  • Shift choices:
    - 1 required 24-hour shift + 1 additional 24-hour shift (48 hours/week)
    - 1 required 24-hour shift + 1 16-hour shift (40 hours/week)
    - 1 required 24-hour shift + 2 12-hour shifts (48 hours/week)
  • Patient age demographic: pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric
  • Spinals and epidurals can be done by CRNAs, all nerve blocks are done by MDs. We have fellowship-trained MDs for this.
  • Preops are for the most part done by the MDs unless it's a MAC case where the CRNAs can do it.
  • Trauma level II
  • 10 ORs
  • Coverage for Procedural Care Units. 2 providers would need general OR experience (no neuro or cardiac experience required) and one provider would preferably have outpatient endoscopy experience with MAC.
  • Average 4-5 cases a day when working a 12 hour (primarily Ortho and Neuro Cases)
  • Neuro cases: the OR team is comprised of surgeon, Surgical Assistant, Scrub Tech, and OR RN circulator.
  • Ortho cases utilize 2 surgical assistants, depending on the type of case.
