Coordinate and perform diagnostic medical imaging procedures for the Department of Ultrasound; assisting the Radiologist utilizing a variety of diagnostic ultrasound equipment, both fixed or mobile.
Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of high quality ultrasound procedures including all vascular studies under minimal supervision utilizing diagnostic ultrasound imaging equipment.Documents calibration procedures for individual imaging equipment.Coordinates, organizes, plans and makes quick decisions on emergent cases; evaluates and acts to maintain efficiency and maximize productivity.Assists the Radiologist in performing invasive biopsy procedures using the Ultrasound system to pin point exact anatomical location(s) of a specified diseased area for specimen evaluation and diagnosis.Perform all vascular ultrasound exams requested.Ensures that all procedures are accurately charged and that all charges are turned in at the end of the day for correct billing.Ensures that the Ultrasound room is adequately supplied, check equipment and computer status for readiness, reports any problems that could change the work flow and make sure corrective actions are taken to ensure of work flow continuity.Demonstrates competence to perform assigned patient care responsibilities in a way that meets the age-specific and developmental needs of persons served by the department.Appropriately adapts assigned patient assessment to accommodate the unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, age-specific and other developmental needs of each person served.Demonstrates adherence to the Core Values of CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health Care.Takes personal responsibility to ensure compliance with all policies, procedures and standards as promulgated by state and federal agencies, the hospital, and other regulatory entities.Performs all duties in a manner that protects the confidentiality of patients and does not solicit or disclose any confidential information unless it is necessary in the performance of assigned job duties.Demonstrates adherence to the CORE values of Santa Rosa Health Care.Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Education/Skills
Graduate of AMA approved School of Radiological Sciences, Ultrasound Technology, or other accepted and approved equivalent.
Experience
One (1) year of experience in a clinical ultrasound setting is preferred.Prefer one (1) year of experience performing the following exams:Carotid ArteriesUpper Extremity veinsLower Extremity veinsUpper Extremity arteriesLower Extremity arteriesAbdominal AortaAortic Hepatic and Porta flow systemsPW or CW insonation of cerebral arteries transcranially, and peripheral arteries.Knowledge of plethysmography for arterial and venous circulation evaluation.
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Clinical Research Coordinator leads the evaluation of research protocols and provides clinical and risk assessment expertise on research-related procedures. Assists Director in implementation of human subject research protection program. Reviews complex human subject research protocols and supports the Clinical Research Department through coordination, monitoring, and education of processes required for Research Proposals within University Health. Represents the department at multi-institutional committees and meetings, such as IRB and OHRP.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing. May substitute 8 years of related experience and licensure for required education. Master’s degree preferred. A minimum of three years Research experience required. Possesses or qualifies to obtain within 6 months of employment a Clinical Research Certification (i.e. CCRP or CCRA). Has a working knowledge of research methods and knowledge of federal legislation regarding human subject research is required. Expertise in applying for research protocols, budgeting, program planning and evaluation is preferred. Exercises mature judgment and discretion in any confidential or sensitive matters.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Experience in a 300+ bed hospital preferred.
POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for leading the development and management of stroke data for University Hospital. Performs data collection, analysis and reporting of stroke data compliance with Joint Commission Stroke standards to maintain designation as a Certified Stroke Center. Collaborates with hospital Stroke Medical Directors, Stroke Coordinator, and Ancillary Program Leadership to advance data collection and develop plans to address variances.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Graduation from accredited school of professional nursing is required. Must have at least three years of hospital or clinic based experience. Experience with reporting and analyzing clinical documentation for the Joint Commission accreditation for stroke programs highly preferred. Work experience with the operation of personal computers and Microsoft Office software is expected.
LICENSURE
Current license from the Board of Nurse Examiners of the State of Texas to practice as a registered nurse. Current training in Basic Cardiac Life Support (CPR) is required.

Summary:
The Radiology Technologist will perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures, will provide support for other imaging technologists as needed, and help to facilitate smooth and efficient patient flow. The technologist will demonstrate flexibility by working other shifts and/or at other campuses as needed or required. The technologist must be able to troubleshoot basic maintenance, participate in QA, and resolve issues related to image processing and the image archiving system. Expectation to participate in ongoing education, safety, and technical advances within their scope of licensure. The Technologist will adhere to, and maintain, the expected imaging competencies as outlined by management. - Troubleshoots and reports any equipment malfunctions to the Director/Manager and/or Biomedical personnel; does appropriate follow-up.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC) or American Medical Technologists (AMT) is required.
