We are seeking an experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a locum tenens assignment in Kansas. This opportunity begins on Mar 2, 2026, and spans 84 days, requiring a minimum of 7 shifts per month including call coverage. The schedule covers day shifts Monday through Friday, with additional call responsibilities during evenings and weekends.


Job Details

  • Schedule:
  • Monday–Friday: 7:00am–3:00pm
  • Monday–Friday: 3:00pm–7:00am (1st Call and Backup Call)
  • Saturday & Sunday: 7:00am–7:00am (1st Call and Backup Call)
  • Minimum of 7 shifts per month including call coverage (weekday coverage required, occasional weekend coverage preferred)


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide anesthesia care for a range of cases, including healthy pediatric patients (typically ages 7 and above, with some cases as young as age 4) for procedures such as tonsillectomies, orthopedic procedures, treatment of minor broken bones, and occasional appendectomies
  • Deliver anesthesia services across 4 anesthetizing sites (3 operating rooms and 1 obstetric operating room)
  • Participate in call coverage as scheduled, including weekday and occasional weekend shifts
  • Collaborate with the surgical and perioperative teams to ensure safe patient care
  • Monitor and manage patients pre-, intra-, and post-anesthesia
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation in accordance with facility protocols
  • Provide patient and family education as appropriate


Additional Information

  • Must have an active Kansas CRNA license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Experience with pediatric anesthesia cases preferred
  • Facility includes 8 ICU beds
