Pacific Shipyards International is searching for an Estimator / Planner to join our ship repair team in Hawaii.
Position Title: Estimator / Planner
Reports To: Estimating Manager
Location: Honolulu, Hawaii
Position Summary
Pacific Shipyards International (PSI) is the largest privately owned shipyard in Hawaii, with two of the largest dry docks in the state. We have been in business since 1944 and have a large labor force of skilled craftsman with a full support staff of professionals who comprise of engineering, project management, QA, EHS, accounting, contracts, and human resources.
We are seeking an Estimator/Planner to join the Estimating Department. The Estimator/Planner is responsible for developing cost estimates to support our ongoing ship repair contracts with DoD and commercial customers. The Estimator/Planner works closely with all departments to identify the amount of material and manpower needed to perform ship repair availabilities. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare comprehensive cost estimates and technical proposals.
- Ability to read detailed drawings, specifications, and technical manuals.
- Engage in PSI’s collaborative estimating process and bid reviews.
- Attend ship checks.
- Participate in business development.
- Strong team player with on-site work hours required.
Education/Training/Skills:
- Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience, preferably in marine or industrial industry.
- Shipyard experience preferred.
- High school diploma required; Bachelor of Science highly recommended.
- Knowledge of Navy ships is beneficial.
- Former Navy military personnel highly beneficial.
Qualification/Requirements:
- Must show proof of your legal right to work in the United States.
- This position requires US Citizenship.
- Must be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) and a Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) Credential.

Category Strategy Manager (CSM) is responsible for planning and developing the assigned Lifestyle category/section merchandising program. Responsible for establishing the merchandise assortment, buying program and in-store presentations to the end of achieving targeted sales, profit and turnover. Essential Functions:
Develops purchasing plans and programs to implement corporate policies & Objectives.

Stays up to date on new product offerings/programs and will conduct own research to determine product demand. This includes travel to the continental USA and possibly to Japan for trade shows, company stores, and market research.
Stays up to date on new developments relative material and supplies in order to make recommendations to reduce costs and improve methods.
Maintains purchase records as are needed by the position and other departments (commodity items).
Approves invoices for payment and verifies receipt of material (merchandise) or services, checking on accuracy of unit process and extensions.
Responsible for calculating retail, taking into consideration price elasticity, competitive impact, cannibalization, affinity and other factors.
Prepares and provides purchase analysis and cost data for use in scheduling, planning, budgeting and other functional activities.
Generates collects data and generates reports to analyze and evaluate product performance.
Inventory Control: Calculate turns to identify problems and put into place measurable controls.
Work with advertising and marketing to promote respective products and programs.
Understands and abide by all corporate policies and procedures.
Other Duties / Responsibilities:
Position is exempt. Hours CSM must work are flexible based on business needs. Usually M-F, but due to inventory, special events, store visits, trade shows, business trips may require additional hours and different shifts.

Using an egg donor unrelated to the surrogate carrier eliminates any biological tie. The egg of the surrogate is never used as part of the assisted reproduction process, so that a surrogate is never in the position of delivering her own biological child.
The basic requirements of a woman to serve as a surrogate are:

- In good physical health
- Non-smoker
- Has had at least one successful pregnancy
- Is capable of carrying a child to full term

In Texas, there is a judicial process for validating the Gestational Contract (the contract between the intended parents and the surrogate). Included within the various requirements for having a Gestational Contract validated by a Texas court is that the intended parents must be married and the surrogate must have previously carried a child to term. Additionally, there are residency requirements that apply to either the surrogate or the intended parents, but not both.
Compensation for a surrogate services generally starts in the range of $35,000 - $40,000, for base compensation with over all fees up to 70k, in many cases. The amount of compensation is dependent upon a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, whether the surrogate carries twins, what procedures a surrogate is required to undergo and whether the delivery is vaginally or by cesarean section.
