Qualifications — CRNA Jobs in Illinois
- Current, active RN license — Illinois licensure required (candidates must already hold IL license)
- Graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program
- Current certification/recertification by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a CRNA (perioperative nurse anesthetist experience preferred)
- Ability to work effectively within an MD-supervised anesthesia care team
- Strong clinical judgment, perioperative assessment skills, and clear communication
Responsibilities — Anesthesia and Perioperative Care
- Perform pre-anesthesia assessments and evaluate patient readiness for anesthesia in the perioperative setting
- Obtain and verify patient consent and required documentation
- Discuss anesthetic options, risks, and perioperative plans with patients and the care team
- Provide induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia for scheduled procedures
- Continuously monitor physiologic status and respond to changes in patient condition
- Perform clinical interventions as needed to ensure patient safety and stability
- Document anesthesia care accurately and promptly in the iPro electronic charting system
