Delaware North Sportservice is searching for seasonal Buffet Attendants to join our team at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, Ohio. As a Buffet Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring an effective operation of assigned luxury suites, including stocking, serving, and attending to guests' needs.

What will you do?

• Prepare the suite and ensure all items are in place for guest arrival, including those ordered in advance of the event
• Anticipate guests' needs, suggest additional items such as appetizers and desserts, and communicate in-suite orders to kitchen and bar staff
• Ensure all laws and regulations are being followed, including checking for identification before serving alcohol
• Obtain signatures from the suite host on any charges incurred

More about you

• No high school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 1 year of service experience in a hotel, full-service restaurant, catering facility, or club environment required
• Previous experience as a suite runner preferred

Physical requirements

• Ability to lift to 50 pounds 
• Ability to stand and walk for the entire length of the shift
• Exposure to variable temperatures 
• May be required to work in narrow spaces

As a Commissary Supervisor, you will assist management in carrying out daily operations of the commissary and warehouse department. What will you do?

• Supervise commissary team, including assigning duties, training, coaching, and counseling
• Ensure proper stock of beer, soda, food, and other products are in their appropriate locations
• Maintain daily awareness of product needs; determine quantities required to adequately stock commissary
• Oversee inventory control, including receiving shipments, disposing of outdated material, cycle counting
• Maintain safety, security, and cleanliness of storage areas, passageways, elevators, and work areas
• Enforce company policies and safety regulations

More about you

• Minimum 6 months food and beverage commissary or related experience required
• Previous experience with Excel or similar database management computer systems required
• Strong management skills; ability to delegate and coach others
• Basic math skills
• No college degree required

Physical requirements

• Ability to lift, push and pull up to 165 pounds
• Ability to pull heavy carts of stock throughout the facility
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment where temperatures may range from cold to hot depending on the season

The Sharonville Civil Service Commission will apply extra credit to final passing scores for one (1) of the following categories:

Applicants must possess a valid driver's license at the time of appointment and maintain insurability in accordance with the City of Sharonville's insurance carrier requirements throughout employment.
