Objective
Works with interdepartmental Engineers / technical colleagues in a team environment to

The Customer Quality Engineer (NPL) manages strategic customers’ accounts with direct customer issues with effective communication and provides superior problem solving / critical thinking skills. The Engineer interacts with others globally while traveling occasionally to customer and other Nidec locations.
Essential Responsibilities
- Develop strategy to manage specific customer accounts
- Lead customer quality issue resolution
- Interact with customer to satisfy their requirements
- Understand customer specific requirements
- Maintain daily quality (PPM / other KPI targets) and cost (internal / external costs) data for all requirements.
- Actively engage site production team to drive manufacturing improvements
- Support new business opportunities and new product development programs
- Gather warranty data, generate warranty charts, analyze trends and prepare warranty report for each assigned OEM to reduce warranty cost
- Support change management programs customers, and at plant level.
- Fulfill / Submit all new parts submission (PPAP) requirements
- Interact closely with cross functional Team to perform Advanced Product Quality
- Planning (APQP) for new product launches and Advanced Quality Planning (AQP) for product and/or process changes.
- Key member of FMEA Development serving as key member liaison between
- Manufacturing Engineering and Design Engineering.
- Set quality goals and improvement plans
- Document and utilize lessons learned
- Review / Improve Control plans
- Lead / Direct customer issues to closure by gathering appropriate teams and leading problem solving using tools, including: 8D, 5P, 5 Whys, Fault Tree Analysis and other documents, per customer.
- Additional responsibility may entail New Product Launch activity which would require FMEA Moderator training.
Experience: 2+ years’ experience automotive manufacturing
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Strong Detail / Accuracy in technical details and business writing / communication
- Analytical thinking and working knowledge of problem-solving techniques (i.e. paretos,
- cause and effect, fish bone diagrams, and 5Why analysis).
- Technical thinking and core tool knowledge as well as knowledge of plating, plastic
- molding, metal stamping and/or welding is a plus.
- Written and verbal communication with customers (internal & external)
- Quality engineering / Manufacturing engineering experience in automated high volume
- production environment within automotive industry.
- Able to implement / use of various charts, corrective action programs, simple DOE and other SPC Tools.
- Limited knowledge of soldering, electronic components and PCB assembly is a plus.
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 / IATF 16949, VDA Standards, and IPC-A-610D
- Strong skills/expertise with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Access and Minitab.

ICT (In-Circuit Test) Test Technician (1st shift)

Objective
Under the general direction of the Mfg. Process Engineering Group Manager ensures that ICT failures are analyzed, root cause of the failure is identified and corrective action is implemented.
Essential Responsibilities
REQUIRES 5+ Years direct experience with AGILENT/KEYSIGHT 3070 in-circuit test experience to..
- Perform visual inspection and electrical testing of all ICT failures. Identifies the root cause of the failure based on ICT output file and multi-meter/bridge readings.
- Identify soldering issues with the ICT failed boards based on knowledge of IPC-610 Nidec Mobility Quality Standards.
- Fixes the issues identified or instruct inspectors on how to fix the issue.
- Records the failure reason in the ICT test database.
- Setup ICT machine to run failed boards.
- Analyzes ICT first-pass yield and final yield using automated reports from ICT database and recommends corrective action to ICT technicians.
- Generate excel reports on a weekly basis about overall ICT rework work-in-process level.
- Maintain clean and organized work area at all times. Completes daily area clean up at the end of shift
- May participate in cross-training activities with other related positions
- Support / Participate in the Company’s management and quality system including continuous improvement efforts

About the Role
We are expanding our Automation Development team and are seeking Controls Engineers to support the design and build of highly advanced, custom automation and robotic equipment for autonomous vehicle production. This is a hands-on role focused on conceptual, in-house engineered systems—not repetitive builds or catalog automation.
Engineers in this group own projects end-to-end, from early concept and proof-of-principle through programming, debug, factory acceptance testing, and on-site integration. The current flagship project supports a next-generation autonomous vehicle platform, with the first production units already shipped.
This role is ideal for Controls Engineers coming from systems integrators or custom machine builders who enjoy variety, ownership, and technically challenging work.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, program, and debug PLC, HMI/SCADA, robotics, servo, and machine vision systems

- On-site Work (5 days per week)
- Conduct comprehensive inspections and tests on incoming materials, in-process components (e.g., PCBs), and finished automotive electronic products to verify compliance with technical specifications and customer requirements.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments and diagnostic equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and specialized diagnostic software, to evaluate product quality and performance.
- Accurately document all inspection results, test data, and findings, maintaining detailed quality records and generating reports for management and engineering teams.
- Issue non-conformance reports (NCRs) for defective products or processes and assist Quality Engineers with initial investigations, defect containment, and root cause analysis activities.

Qualifications Required:
- High School Degree(equivalent), plus 2+ years’ Automotive, Industrial, Electronic, Mechatronic Engineering or related technical field with preference to Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree.
- 2+ years’ full-time work experience providing Technical Quality Support in the capacity of Quality Technician, Quality Inspector for Quality Processes for customers / suppliers within a high volume Automotive Manufacturing environment.
- 2+ years’ LPA practical full-time work experience conducting Layered Process Audits.
- 2+ years’ full time work experience performing systematic and documented evaluations of finished products, verifying that they comply with established specifications, norms and quality standards, identifying deviations and proposing corrective actions to ensure conformity and continuous improvement.
- 2+ years CSR understanding the client's technical / reporting requirements, paying special attention to meeting the needs that arise in the process operations to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
- 2+ Years hands-on technical experience applying standard automotive quality methodologies and CORE TOOLS in accordance with AIAG Standards.
- Excellent English communication skills (written & spoken)
- Proficiency in using quality inspection tools and equipment, along with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Root Cause Analysis).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration and report drafting.

We seek a highly skilled Supplier Quality Engineer with strong technical acumen and experience working within the Automotive Electromechanical Components Industry.
Objective
Drives supplier improvement, PPAP review, and deviation management processes while utilizing advanced data analysis tools for enhanced supplier quality monitoring. The ideal candidate will be adept at data analysis & database management, leveraging tools such as PowerBI and possess the ability to streamline supplier related data, ensuring smooth data flow and visualization to support data-driven decision-making. Essential Responsibilities
NCR/CAR: Participates in a collaborative team approach to evaluate, expedite, and issue NCR while ensuring minimal disruption to supply chain and customer shipments. Applies strong problem-solving skills to effectively address NCR/CAR issues, notifies suppliers, monitors CAR timeliness, and reviews/approves CAR, contributing to seamless operations.
PPAP (For NPL & PCNs): Upon receiving PPAP (from both Mechanical & Electronics commodity suppliers), reviews documentation for accuracy. Requests inspection data, as needed. Upon (PPV) Production Part Validation approval, signs (PSW) Part Submission Warrant, and notifies supplier. Supplier Approval: Reviews supplier documentation (Incl. - Supplier Profile, CQI, Quality System Self-Survey, and Quality/Environmental Certifications). Approves supplier if all documentation meets requirements, or makes recommendations (Incl. – Audit). Conducts audit of facility, as required.
Deviation: Communications, enters, and obtains disposition of supplier requested deviations for component parts.
Continual Improvement: Digitize and optimize supplier & inspection records, ensuring efficient data retrieval and traceability. Connect and integrate various databases, streamlining data flow and ensuring data accuracy. Utilize data visualization software like PowerBI to create insightful reports and dashboards. Provide actionable insights through data analysis and recommend improvements to enhance supplier quality performance.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering or other technical degree).
Experience: 3+ year’s Quality Engineer experience within Automotive Industry
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other:
- Quality engineering or manufacturing engineering experience in an automated mass production environment.
- Proficiency in soldering, electronic components, and PCB assembly, demonstrating essential skills for the position
- Familiarity with Data mining and database (such as mySQL, SQL Server, Nintax, or sharepoints for database management)
- Solid understanding of data analysis techniques and statistical methodologies.
- Working knowledge with implementing various charts, corrective action programs, simple DOE, and other SPC tools.
- Strong PC skills (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Project, Access).
- Working knowledge of various problem solving techniques (i.e. paretos, cause and effect, histograms, etc.).
- Knowledge of plating, plastic molding, metal stamping, die casting and/or welding desired.
- Expertise with ISO 9001 / IATF 16949
- Must be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures within the automotive supplier quality arena.
