GP Strategies has an opening for an Electrical/Mechanical Instructor to support a large aerospace client in El Segundo, CA. This is a full-time, benefitted onsite position.

Job Summary:

Conducts and performs training or solutions using the appropriate medium and method (classroom, computer-based training [CBT], simulations, on-the-job [OJT], coaching, job-aids) to satisfy business needs and requirements. Conducts training covering a broad range of mechanical and electrical subject matter.

Responsibilities:

• Assesses and tests the competence of employees/students in performing tasks requiring certification or qualification to comply with government and organizational standards and specifications.
• Expert in navigating technical documents related to manufacturing /repair documents and/or blueprints (detail, assembly, or installation drawings).
• Confers with management/client to understand work situation.
• Delivers training sessions covering specified areas of technical specialty.
• Evaluates training programs and reports on trainee progress.
• Maintains training programs and materials.
• Prepares training areas to be teach ready

Requirements:

• Electrical and Mechanical aircraft experience
• Experience as a classroom Instructor/Trainer
• Ability to travel 20%
• Ability to work different shifts, as needed (with advance notice)

• IPC-J-STD-001 (CIT), IPC-J-STD-001 Space Addendum (CIT), and IPC-STD-610 (CIT).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

General physical requirements needed to perform the essential functions of this job may vary based on location of assignment.

Assignment Location – El Segundo, CA

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Lead or support multiple partnership projects by managing scope, prioritizing daily tasks, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring timely delivery of milestones. Oversee escalation processes and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers to guarantee smooth execution.
• Develop structured frameworks for partnership intake, evaluation, and approval to ensure consistency, transparency, and alignment with business priorities. Establish clear processes, documentation standards, and feedback loops to continuously improve efficiency and effectiveness in partnership management

QUALIFICATIONS

• BA/BS in Business, Economics, Marketing, Finance or equivalent work experience.
• MBA is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, partnerships or finance. Proven track record in partnership management or business development, preferably within the automotive or tech industries.
• 3 years of experience in mergers & acquisitions (M&A) and leading a project team.
• Experience in developing partnership channels, working cross functionaly with legal, finance, and marketing.
• Knowledge in energy management related to V2X, V1G, Hydrogen, Battery Life Cycle or related to Electric Vehicles and/or Sustainability areas.
• Experience with complex project development.
• Strong negotiations and contract management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Capable of overseeing, analyzing and reviewing complex contracts, agreements and detailed scope of work.

Automation and Controls Engineer

The Automation and Controls Engineer will design, build, and commission robust manufacturing systems for production of hypersonic-flight components.

Success requires a practical application of engineering principles to design, build, test, and commission process hardware, integrate new technologies into our production line, and integrate process equipment and technologies within our production line. We are seeking a hands-on problem solver with strong expertise in electro-mechanical system design and automation systems, as well as experience working with machinery and production environments.

The key to excelling in this position is the effective application of mechanical, electrical, and control systems expertise to enable our manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, customize, and test hardware and control systems for integration into composite manufacturing equipment balancing process requirements, cost and leadtime considerations.
• Partner with mechanical, materials, and manufacturing engineering teams to align on hardware requirements and design solutions.
• Mature manufacturing processes via the implementation of process control systems and procedures to ensure production consistency and reliability.
• Work with suppliers and vendors to define specifications and ensure on-time delivery of equipment for production needs.
• Troubleshoot hardware malfunction issues to minimize downtime and improve operations.
• Provide guidance and implement robust plans for hardware maintenance and calibration to ensure reliable operation of the manufacturing equipment.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering or industrial engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced aerospace, automotive, or manufacturing production environment.
• Experience identifying, trouble shooting and rectifying complex manufacturing issues involving multiple production resources in a deadline driven environment.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, welding, forming, composites).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to engage in hands-on work to test and implement ideas.
• CAD / CAM (Siemens NX).
