ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior Workplace Strategist will source, execute and manage workplace consulting projects, provide workplace support to internal client teams, and participate in client pitch meetings to strengthen the firm’s new business development efforts.


The Senior Workplace Strategist will partner with clients and internal client teams to develop workplace strategies and approaches to enable their employees to work more effectively, invest in their workspaces and work-from-anywhere technologies to improve talent attraction, retention, and productivity and further the client’s business mission. The role will be to work with clients to understand their culture, technology, work methodology and business goals and then execute workplace observation, measurement studies, elicit data and other feedback from clients in order to make appropriate recommendations, and guide them to a decision. Space planning and TestFit will also be required.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assisting the Workplace Studio with strategic projects to win new business and deliver high-quality outcomes, specifically with knowledge and delivery of top law clients is imperative.
  • Supporting senior leadership in the Washington DC office by preparing pitch materials and responding to RFPs for the Southeast region.
  • Managing multiple client engagements concurrently under the guidance of senior leaders.
  • Conduct workplace research and analysis, including utilization studies, space analysis, and data visualizations (utilization, space analysis, Power BI, Tableau).
  • Analyzing diverse data sources to generate insightful recommendations.
  • Developing new tools and methodologies to enhance project delivery and consistency.
  • Execute space planning studies to demonstrate scenario options for qualitative & quantitative data.
  • Formulating strategic recommendations and building consensus with client leadership.
  • Lead user groups and focus groups and interviews to diagnose challenges and align stakeholders.
  • Partnering with teams to address complex issues related to design strategy and organizational culture.
  • Coordinating project support tasks, including meeting notes, scheduling, and progress tracking.
  • Successfully managing multiple projects while prioritizing excellence in service delivery and team growth.
  • Assisting in large-scale change initiatives and refining global workplace standards post-pandemic.
  • In addition, it is ideal to have knowledge of new types of building and the integration of workplace strategy with development strategy.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior Design or a related discipline.
  • 5-7 years’ experience in occupier-focused workplace strategy, architecture, design, and corporate real estate.
  • Demonstrated subject-matter expertise in workplace strategy, with specific experience in the legal sector.
  • At least 5 years’ proven experience pursuing, closing, and delivering on new business engagements, including ability to support contract negotiations.
  • Ability to initiate, sustain and grow senior level client relationships.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, while also operating independently and managing projects., and to inform, monitor and support the team’s performance.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficient in:
  • Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp
  • Power BI and Tableau
  • Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ideally, visualization capabilities (Inscape or others)
  • Ability to work in person in the DC office four days per week.
  • Willingness to travel to client locations; travel will likely be 20% with minimal overnights

About the Role

The Transplant Nurse Coordinator provides patient care for transplant patients following established standards and practices. Functions to advance the clinical mission and goals of the MedStar Georgetown Transplant Institute through collaborative relationships within the Medical Center.

 Key responsibilities include

  • Communicates with potential transplant candidates and/or referring physicians.
  • Facilitates the evaluation of both pre- and post-transplant patients by interfacing with referring physicians, Transplant hepatologists, Transplant nephrologists, Transplant surgeons, scheduling coordinators, consultants, insurance coordinators, and social workers. Primary responsibility for the planning implementation and evaluation of this process.
  • Coordinates evaluation with the patient/family and appropriate members of the hospital, the transplant team, the patient's primary care physician and cardiologist and clinical consultants.
  • Assess patients for placement on the transplant waiting list.
  • Coordinates the complex management and education of patients' pre- and post-transplants. Communicates with the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) to maintain an accurate and current patient waiting list.
  •  Participate in clinical rounds meetings, conferences consultations and educational programs designed to increase knowledge and to improve patient care and staff performance; serve as a consultant to physicians and staff members regarding services in the specialty area

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing required. 
  • Active DC RN License and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required (AHA or American Red Cross)
  • 3-4 years professional nursing experience required
  • Previous transplant, hepatology, outpatient or dialysis experience preferred

  • Interacts with multiple parties to gather information needed to determine liability (police reports, recorded statements, witness statements).

  • Clearly documents thought process including damage evaluation, investigation, negotiation, and settlement decisions

  • Applies developing knowledge of P&C insurance industry products, services, to include P&C insurance policy contracts, coverages and internal claims handling process and procedures.

  • Applies intermediate knowledge of Auto Physical Damage to adjust claims.

  • Supports workload surges and catastrophe (CAT) response operations as needed, including mandatory on-call dates and potential evening, weekend, and/or holiday work outside normal work hours.

  • May be assigned CAT deployment travel with minimal notice during designated CATs.

  • Works various types of claims, including ones of higher complexity, and may be assigned additional work outside normal duties as needed.

What You Will Do

Job Summary:

Assisting CUW Property Product staff in developing, managing and/or updating underwriting, pricing and product strategy that positions Tokio Marine to meet clients’ needs, build company revenues and achieve our corporate profit and return on risk objectives.


As a Property Products Specialists II, you will be a member of the Corporate Underwriting team and will work with the property staff on specific assigned property lines of business to promote profitable growth. The Corporate Underwriting team is responsible for product development, risk management, underwriting governance and compliance strategies that conform to our risk appetite. In this position, you will participate in developing guidelines, processes, products, rates, rules, tools and controls that business segments will utilize in their day-to-day decisions. You will conduct ongoing analysis, monitor results and communicate those results to key distribution and underwriting partners. Collaborating with others to share product performance will be key to success. You will be responsible for developing and managing underwriting, pricing and product strategy that positions Tokio Marine to meet clients’ needs, build company revenues and achieve our corporate objectives. This includes the development and execution of lines of business strategies, growth and enhancing the underwriting expertise within the company.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Assist management in the assessment of the portfolio to ensure profitability
  • Monitors rate adequacy, works with the Actuarial team on profitability analysis, pricing of new coverages and products and assists in the development of a pricing strategy
  • Participate in product development including associated pricing and underwriting tools and reviewing policy forms with Claims and Legal
  • Development of Underwriting guidelines and rules for execution by Field Underwriting
  • Provides general expertise to TMA Field Underwriting on rate, rule and form issues.
  • Collaborates with the Exposure Management team on catastrophe data, modeling and reports, assisting the Product Managers with treaty data and working with Field Underwriting business segments.
  • Conduct Underwriting Reviews of Field Business Segments and supports internal audits and Market Conduct exams.
  • Collaborates and maintains strong relationships with all internal departments
  • Collaborate in the implementation of compliance specifications including the development of tools and resources necessary to maintain compliance requirements
  • Assists the CUW and TMA Executive leadership in initiatives, projects and general areas for assigned lines.
  • Designs and supports training as needed
  • Collaborates, designs, reviews and/or recommends policies, procedure and technology to improve operational efficiency, underwriting profitability and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • College Degree or equivalent preferred
  • CPCU or equivalent Professional designation preferred

  • Knowledge of ISO, AAIS, NCCI and independent state bureau requirements
  • Experience with Underwriting Audits preferred

Salary range of $100k-130k. Ultimate salary offered will be based on factors such as applicant experience and geographic location. Our company offers a competitive benefits package and bonus eligibility on top of base.
