Information Professional Officers (IPOs) oversee the seamless operation of the global Naval network environment. Their responsibilities include:

  • Driving interoperability with joint, allied and coalition partners
  • Building professional excellence through education, training and certification and milestone qualifications

  • Serving as a key part of the Information Dominance Corps in its mission to gain a deep understanding of the inner workings of adversaries

Work Environment

Information Professionals serve in challenging roles of increasing scope and responsibility both afloat and ashore. This could include:

Training & Advancement

Those pursuing an Information Professional Officer position are required to attend Officer Candidate School (OCS) in Newport, RI.

Upon completion, candidates typically attend a five-week IP Basic Course of instruction in Pensacola, FL, before or during their initial assignment. IPOs must complete specific qualifications as part of their training during Fleet tours and are expected to pursue advanced education opportunities.

Promotion opportunities are regularly available but competitive and based on performance.

Qualifications & Requirements

A degree from a four-year college or university is a minimum educational requirement to become a Commissioned Officer. Candidates seeking an Information Professional Officer position must have a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in a technical field, preferably in one of following fields: Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Operations, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, General Engineering.

All candidates must also be: U.S. citizens, willing to serve worldwide, eligible for a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance and qualified for sea duty.

Part-Time Opportunities

There are part-time opportunities available as an Information Professional Officer.

Serving part-time as a Navy Reserve Sailor, your duties will be carried out during your scheduled drilling and training periods. During monthly drilling, Information Professional Officers in the Navy Reserve typically work at a location close to their homes.

For annual training, Information Professional Officers may serve anywhere in the world, whether on a ship at sea or at bases and installations on shore.

Job Summary

The Customs Brokerage Department Manager is the senior leader responsible for the overall strategic direction, compliance, profitability, and operational excellence of the customs brokerage division. This role oversees all import/export customs clearance activities, ensuring adherence to national and international regulations (e.g., CBP, PGA). The VP will drive growth, optimize operational efficiency through technology, mentor a high-performing team, and build lasting client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Business Growth

  • Create and implement a strategic business plan to expand the customs brokerage department, focusing on revenue growth and profitability (P&L management).
  • Develop new business opportunities by offering expert advisory services and leveraging industry trends.
  • Set, monitor, and achieve KPIs related to compliance, turnaround time, profitability, and client retention.
  • Analyze market trends and regulatory changes to guide company strategy and adapt to new trade policies.

Compliance & Regulatory Management

  • Act as the senior subject matter expert on all customs regulations, ensuring 100% compliance with Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Participating Government Agencies (PGAs).
  • Maintain and manage corporate customs licenses, permits, and power of attorney documents.
  • Implement internal audit programs to ensure quality and accuracy of classification, valuation, and entry processes.
  • Mitigate risks related to compliance violations, cargo delays, or penalties.

Operational Excellence & Technology

  • Oversee daily brokerage operations and optimize workflows to improve efficiency.
  • Leverage technology and automation tools (e.g., TMS, ACE/ABI, AI solutions) to enhance speed and accuracy of entry processing.
  • Ensure accurate classification of commodities and proper tariff application.

Client & Vendor Relations

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, acting as a trusted advisor on complex trade matters.
  • Manage relationships with third-party brokers, customs agents, and other service providers to ensure seamless service.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and build a team of customs managers, brokers, and entry writers, fostering a culture of excellence and compliance.
  • Develop training programs, establish roles, and create compensation structures that drive performance.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in customs brokerage with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role (Director or VP level).
  • Licensure: Active Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) is required.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, International Trade, Business, or related field preferred. Master's degree (MBA) is a plus.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of U.S. Customs Regulations, HTS classification, Customs Valuation, and ISA/C-TPAT programs.
  • Skills: Proven track record in P&L management, strategic planning, and building scalable processes.

Description

We are seeking a motivated and experienced, Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) Welder to join our aerospace manufacturing team. This position is ideal for individuals who have experience and are eager to grow within a structured and supportive environment. You will assist in the welding, fabrication, and assembly of propellant space tank systems and sub-assemblies.



Pay Range: $40 to $60 per hour.



Position Requirements
  • Weld, assemble, and fabricate various propellant space tank systems and sub-assembly components using GTAW (TIG) welding methods
  • Use precision-calibrated tools such as torque wrenches, micrometers, and calipers to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Perform work in accordance with detailed procedures, specifications, and test instructions
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and manufacturing work instructions
  • Utilize various mechanical tools and equipment with minimal supervision
  • Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other heavy equipment safely
  • Perform surface preparation processes such as blending, filing, and abrading of flight hardware
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring compliance with safety standards
  • Support team members with additional duties as required to ensure efficient operations

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of aerospace welding experience
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Technical training or certification in TIG welding
  • Understanding of GTAW techniques and material weldability
  • Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings

Under general supervision, deburr, weld prep and/or clean titanium and aluminum components and sub-assemblies to support all core processes, such as machining, welding, and NDE.



Essential Responsibilities




  • Support the highest standards of safety and environmental practices.
  • Deburr machined components for sharp edges.
  • Hand blend machined and welded surfaces to drawing requirements.
  • Hand abrade components to desired finish for weld.
  • Clean components and assemblies per drawing and/or manufacturing work instructions.
  • Make a continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively.
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
  • Check work after completion of each operation in job and/or completed job to ensure it is complete per drawing and/or manufacturing work instruction.
