Position Overview
Schiffman’s Jewelers is seeking a strategic, hands-on Director of Information Technology to lead and modernize our technology infrastructure across all 10 retail stores and corporate operations. This role is responsible for aligning technology with business objectives, ensuring operational excellence, safeguarding company data, and enhancing the customer experience in a luxury retail environment.
The Director of IT will oversee all IT operations, cybersecurity, systems integration, POS infrastructure, vendor management, and digital initiatives. This leader will serve as a trusted advisor to the COO and play a key role in supporting growth, innovation, and operational efficiency.
Regular travel to CA, KY, NC, SC, and VA is required. This is a highly hands-on role supporting a team of 160 employees, and the ideal candidate will bring a strong passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating outstanding experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with Schiffman’s growth goals.
- Serve as a member of the leadership team, advising on technology investments and digital innovation.

Infrastructure & Systems Management
- Oversee all IT systems including POS, accounting, CRM, and inventory management.
- Ensure reliability, uptime, and performance across multiple retail locations.
- Manage cloud services, network infrastructure, servers, and telecommunications systems.
- Lead system upgrades, migrations, and integrations.
- Manage internal hardware program.
Cybersecurity & Risk Management
- Establish and enforce cybersecurity protocols and data protection policies.
- Ensure PCI compliance and retail security best practices.
- Manage backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
- Monitor and mitigate cybersecurity threats.
Vendor & Budget Management
- Manage relationships with IT vendors, software providers, and service partners.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 8–10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience.
- Experience in retail, luxury retail, or multi-location operations strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of POS and CRM systems. LightSpeed and Salesforce/Proximity are a plus.
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity, PCI compliance, and data protection.
- Experience managing cloud environments (Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, etc.).
- Proven ability to manage vendors and IT budgets.

The MRB Design Engineer - Structures & Systems reviews defects, establishes root cause, provides an acceptable disposition to repair the discrepant condition using engineering principles and determines if corrective action is required.
Key Accountabilities1. Reviews discrepancy documents to fully understand non-conforming aircraft structure or systems affecting production or flight test aircraft. A priority will be given to engineers who possess skill sets in both structures and various systems.
2. Develops repair dispositions. Ensures that the proposed repair is structurally and functionally equivalent to the blueprint design and that it will not affect systems functionality.
3. Provides on site technical support, including interpretation of Engineering drawings, specifications, test procedures, and other systems related documents.
4. Assists in determining if discrepancies are Engineering related or workmanship issues and documents findings.
5. Initiates design and process changes to correct design errors, resolve complex, chronic manufacturing problems to improve produce-ability and cost of the aircraft.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills1. Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering; experience can be used in lieu of degree requirements.
2. 5+ years experience of MRB type design and/or repair of aircraft structures & systems.
3. Working knowledge of Aircraft structure and aircraft systems, materials, fasteners, production methods, corrosion prevention, production hand tools, non-destructive testing, and Standard Repair Methods (SRM).
4. Working knowledge of Mechanical Systems concepts and troubleshooting methods.
5. Working knowledge of CATIA V5, 2D engineering dwgs, parts lists, and aircraft effectivity.
6. Working knowledge of SAP preferred.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Lotus Notes.
8. Ability to write clear, concise, and easily understandable step-by-step rework, repair, and system troubleshooting instructions.
9. Ability to create rework/repair drawings using either, CATIA, PowerPoint, Word, or hand drawn sketches.
10. Ability to effectively communicate with all MRB team members and with all levels throughout any HACI organization.
11. Ability to work independently or within a team oriented environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
As a BPA, you will be part of our 60,000+ workforce that strives to protect the American people by safeguarding our borders, deterring illicit activity, and enhancing the nation's economic prosperity. Being a BPA makes you a valuable member of the Federal Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) profession.
Typical assignments include:
- Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration and customs laws and inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations.

- Performing physical searches of detained individuals, their vehicles, and their immediate surroundings for weapons, contraband, currency, and other evidence.
- Apprehending, physically restraining, or working with law enforcement officials to identify or apprehend violators of state, federal, or immigration laws.
- Proficient in the use of firearms, preparing investigative reports, serving court orders (e.g., warrants, subpoenas, etc.), and gathering evidence for criminal cases prosecuted through the court system.
If you have previous or current law enforcement or military law enforcement experience, you may qualify at the GS-11 grade level.
GS-11: You qualify for the GS-11 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, with the authority granted by the state or government to enforce laws, make arrests, and investigate crimes, performing primary duties in an official law enforcement capacity such as:

- This position operates primarily in a professional office environment supporting aerospace program activities. The role requires 10–25% travel, depending on program phase and workload surge, to domestic and potentially international supplier facilities for program reviews, performance assessments, risk mitigation, and coordination activities.
