The successful candidate will support the program technical leads (Lead or Chief Systems Engineer, IPT Lead) by performing technical analysis, managing specifications, and generating design review and technical documents.

Additional responsibilities include supporting the test and design verification, requirements sell off, end item data package (EIDP) generation efforts.

Essential Functions: System Design and Integration: Develop and integrate advanced electro-optical systems for space-based applications, ensuring compliance with all relevant specifications and mission requirements.

Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance in systems engineering, including test development, requirements verification and validation (V&V).

Testing and Validation: Design, plan, and execute test procedures for electro-optical components and systems.

Analyze test data to validate system performance against requirements.

Requirements Management: Define, manage, and maintain system and sub-system level requirements, ensuring traceability and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Documentation and Reporting: Generate and maintain detailed technical documentation, including test plans, procedures, work instructions, test reports, and anomaly reports.

Trade Studies: Develop and evaluate trade studies to support decision-making processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including subcontractors and U.S.

Government customers, to ensure alignment and project success.

Standards Compliance: Ensure all engineering activities adhere to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.

Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and quality assurance, to ensure successful system integration and test.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or other related scientific discipline and 6 years of relevant EO/IR systems engineering work experience.

Alternatively, a graduate degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience, or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

Position Summary

The Associate Manufacturing Technician plays a key role in operating and maintaining advanced automated equipment used to manufacture a flagship medical device product. The technician will be trained to operate and troubleshoot a wide range of technologies including:

Key Responsibilities

• Perform equipment setup, operation, troubleshooting, and basic preventive maintenance with minimal supervision.
• Maintain raw material feeds and clear equipment faults/stoppages.
• Use Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) to make process adjustments.
• Prepare and maintain raw materials to ensure on-time production.

• A strong understanding of PLC, VFD and HMI/OIT software, previous and current versions. A successful candidate will have demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical controls systems, mechanical drives, pneumatics, hydraulics, PC’s, Robotics, and Controls networks.
• The ability to reference equipment manuals & similar literature.
• Strong understanding and application of precision maintenance
• Willingness to Maintain clean and organized work areas and cleaning up work areas as part of completing assigned tasks.
• May operate forklifts, hoists, and other heavy equipment
• Master level ability to reference equipment manuals & literature
• Strong CMMS Knowledge

• Strong understanding of 5S
• Provide leadership and, or training to one or two other automation technicians.

Education and Work Experience:

• EE Degree, or equivalent in work experience and/or training
• Three or more years’ experience working with large industrial equipment troubleshooting automation/robotics or related field.
• Microsoft Office and JDE or similar
• Strong overall electrical knowledge and experience with electrical and industrial control systems.
• Excellent communication skills and effective team-building skills a must. Mentorship and willingness to help train your teammates is valued.
• Experience in corrugated packaging or similar high volume, no redundancy manufacturing environment

The starting rate is  $40-$45 per hour, depending on your role, level, and location. The benefits for this role may include short-term bonus incentive, health, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts or health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and paid sick leave as required by applicable state/local law, 10 days of paid vacation, and 11 days of paid holidays, subject to annual change. What you will be doing:

• Learning the industry’s products including materials and label specifications.
• Quickly & efficiently enter customer orders.
• Review order details for accuracy before submission to production.
• Organize & maintain customer accounts.
• Notifies all relevant team personnel of any rush or special orders with clear and fluid communication.
• Work closely with sales team in selecting label materials, sizes, and printing options based on the customer needs.
• Troubleshoot any order discrepancies or issues.
• Interact with customers via phone or email in a professional and timely manner.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers by providing proactive communication and support.
• Identify opportunities to improve the order entry process and enhance customer experience.
