Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) at HCA Healthcare, you’ll play a key role in delivering safe, high-quality care that puts patients first. Job Summary and QualificationsOur Labor & Delivery Surgical Technician will work under the supervision of the Labor & Delivery leadership team to assist in proper care, handling, assembly, decontamination, and sterilization of instruments.
- You will scrubs cases as it relates to the unit scope of care.
- You will don appropriate attire required by hospital and OSHA policies.
- You should be able to create and maintain a sterile field. Able to scrub routine cases with no assistance.
- You will demonstrates knowledge of surgical anatomy and understanding of instrumentation and procedures.
- You will not divert attention from the operative field.
- You will need to be able to anticipate basic needs of surgeon/assistant. Able to anticipate when to initiate closing counts.
- You will label all medications on the sterile field. Demonstrates a complete knowledge of instrumentation/sequence of procedure.
- You will scrub independently on small to moderate and specialty cases. Able to anticipate the needs of the surgeon.
- You will assists the Registered Nurse with circulating duties. Shows knowledge of circulating components/responsibilities as evidenced by completion of skills checklist. Able to assist primary circulator in his/her role.
- You will be able to place cautery dispersive electrode on appropriate body parts knowing to check bony prominences; and for metal implants/assess need for shaving at bovie sight.
- You must be able to apply principles of standard and transmission based precautions. Helps maintain a safe environment for personnel and patients.
- You will assist primary circulator to ensure smooth flow in the O.R. Obtains needed medications from drug cart and pharmacy for circulator. Able to assist the primary circulator with little or no prompting and attends to needs of other staff members, anesthesia, surgeon and patient.
- You will assume responsibility to check the following cases of the day for accuracy and location of needed instrumentation.

In this role, you will develop and support DSG components and patterns that empower product teams across the organization. You will work closely with design, accessibility consultants, and product partners to ensure solutions meet brand standards, usability best practices, and technical excellence.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Develop, test, review, and maintain frontend components and patterns using HTML, CSS/Sass, JavaScript, and ARIA to meet accessibility standards.
