Job Description

A leading technology solutions provider is seeking an Educational SalesAccount Manager with a strong B2C technology sales background to join its Philadelphia area office. This role is responsible for driving new customer revenue within mid- to large-sized public school districts and select private school organizations.


The Account Manager will own a defined territory and be accountable for achieving established sales and gross profit targets. This individual will develop and manage a robust sales pipeline, forecast revenue, prospect new business opportunities, and secure orders from both new and existing customers.


Key Responsibilities

  • Accelerate sales growth within an assigned territory, targeting large public school districts
  • Achieve established revenue and gross profit objectives
  • Support revenue generation efforts with smaller districts when necessary
  • Drive new business development through proactive prospecting and outreach
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline through consistent effort-based sales activities
  • Conduct 10–12 in-person sales meetings per week with district-level decision-makers
  • Utilize a consultative sales approach to align technology solutions with district needs
  • Accurately record sales activities, opportunities, and proposals within CRM systems
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the company’s technology products and services
  • Provide monthly sales forecasts to sales leadership
  • Attend and actively participate in sales meetings


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of proven sales experience
  • Demonstrated success in prospecting, presenting, negotiating, and closing new business
  • Strong “hunter” mindset with a track record of opening new accounts
  • High energy, persistence, and strong interpersonal skills
  • Technical aptitude with strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional listening, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Self-starter with experience working independently and managing a territory
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
