Since its establishment in 1968 as the first primary care program in New York specifically created for the health needs of teens, the Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center (MSAHC) has grown to become a model of excellence in adolescent health care nationally and worldwide. Responsibilities A. Direct Patient Care: Inpatient and Outpatient settings. Providing direct care to patients in our busy interdisciplinary Adolescent Health Center, including primary and specialty adolescent and young adult health care, reproductive health services including LARC, LGBTQ care including gender-affirming therapy, care for youth with HIV, eating disorders, and chronic disease. ,;
B. Teaching: Precepting adolescent medicine fellows, pediatric residents and Icahn School of Medicine medical students in the outpatient setting at the Adolescent Health Center, as well as on serving as attending physician in the inpatient adolescent medicine consultation service at Kravis Children’s Hospital of Mount Sinai Hospital.
C. Research: Opportunities for research including participation in an NIH-funded long-term study of HPV and quality assurance projects, as well as working with adolescent medicine fellows to develop and conduct their fellowship research
D. Administrative: Opportunities for development of new programs and participation on medical school/hospital committees

The Department of Emergency Medicine seeks an Assistant/Associate Program Director.
The Mount Sinai Hospital-Elmhurst Residency in Emergency Medicine is excited to announce that we are recruiting for an Assistant or Associate Program Director to join our strong, close-knit leadership team of the PD and 6 APDs. We lead a 4-year program with 20 residents per class. Our program offers a well-balanced mix of high-acuity clinical sites and strong career development.
Our large team structure and program, as well as our well-resourced and supportive department, has allowed our APDs to specialize and develop unusual depth of expertise in the areas of medical education to which they are most drawn. There is plenty of room for growth, creativity and leadership development.
We seek candidates with a demonstrated record of interest and innovation in medical education who would be excited to join our dynamic academic community. We value but do not require previous experience as an APD or clerkship director advanced training in medical education and a history of scholarship.

Our residency splits time evenly between 2 clinical sites: The Mount Sinai Hospital and Elmhurst Hospital Center. The Mount Sinai Hospital an internationally recognized quaternary care facility with over 100K patient visits per year of very high acuity. The ED patient population draws from the upper east side of Manhattan, Harlem and Spanish Harlem. The emergency department is, as of this writing, days away from completing a 5-year, $80 million renovation. We have already opened a new separate 28-bed observation unit and Pediatric Emergency Department. The latter is housed within the Department of Emergency Medicine. We are fortunate that Dr. Brendan Carr, an emergency physician and our immediate past Chair, leads the entire Mount Sinai Health System.
Elmhurst Hospital Center is a large, public level 1 trauma center in Jackson Heights, Queens that is fully staffed by Sinai faculty (100K+ visits/year). The Sinai-Elmhurst partnership has existed since the 1960's and is central to the residency identity. EHC’s unique patient population represents its location in one of the most diverse neighborhoods in the country, with immigrants from around the world.

The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is seeks to recruit an outstanding Physician-Scientist to serve as its next Chief of the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Bone Disease in the Department of Medicine. Mount Sinai is currently in the top 10-12 in NIH support nationally, and is located in a beautiful part of New York City directly adjacent to 5th Avenue and Central Park. Mount Sinai Endocrinology has satellite practices in multiple parts of New York City, and is strong clinically in Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, MASH, MAFLD, obesity, thyroid disease, adrenal disease, pituitary disease and reproductive disorders, and has one of the largest automated insulin delivery (AID) system programs in the US. The Endocrinology group is also strong in basic research in pancreatic beta cell regenerative drug development, MASH/MAFLD and in prostate cancer research. Mount Sinai overall is also exceptionally strong in research in neuroscience, immunology, pulmonary, GI, oncology, genomics and bioinformatics, as well as others.
Administration of the Division : The chief is responsible for the overall management of the Division including:
Development of strategic plans and goals for the Division in alignment with those of the Department of Medicine and the greater Mount Sinai Health System;
Oversight of all financial, operational and personnel issues within the Division and System;
Oversight of and responsibility for divisional faculty, including recruitment of new faculty;
Advance the national reputation of the Division through scholarship, education and innovation in the clinical environment, including as this relates to the broad System emphasis on population health management.
Clinical Responsibilities : The Division Chief will:
Responsible for the overall management of the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Bone Disease; including the development of an academically oriented training program, growth of the clinical program, expansion of the basic research program and the maintenance of a financially viable program and the enhancement of the clinical and scientific status of the Division

Qualifications
- Medical Degree from an Accredited University
- New York Medical License/Active NYS DEA
