As a Registered Nurse for Admission and Discharge, the top priority is delivering exceptional patient-centered care. They are dedicated to ensuring a seamless and efficient transition for patients coming in and out of acute care hospital settings. Specialized assessment skills help ensure that patients are placed in the appropriate care areas and discharged. We offer education and post-hospitalization care as necessary. What will you do in this role:

• Obtains a nursing assessment history, and ensures proper inpatient care unit admission. Takes appropriate action when needed, such as communicating special circumstances to physicians and/or care team or reporting indications of abuse or neglect.
• Completes and facilitates the completion of required documentation, such as admission assessments, risk assessments, medication reconciliation, discharge paperwork, and post-hospital documentation.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about a patient’s medical condition, patient status, treatment plan, medications and possible side effects, and follow-up measures. Translates complex medical terminology to ensure complete knowledge.
• Completes extra discharge documentation, education, and discharge care for special patient populations, to ensure compliance with core measures for discharge.
• Ensures patients /families/caregivers receive copies of discharge paperwork and any other documentation needed, such as referrals for ongoing care, educational materials, etc.
• Coordinates with House Supervisors/Nursing Administration to prioritize workload and identify greatest need areas to ensure smooth patient transitions.
• Demonstrates a time-conscious awareness and ability to prioritize. Distinguishes between low and high-priority activities.

The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. In collaboration with medical providers and other members of the care team, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN serves as an advocate for patients/families/caregivers and models a commitment to the organization’s vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.

• Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention.

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) and/or ENPC (Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course) certifications required within 6 months of hire/transfer.

• Associate Degree

• Minimum of one (1) year of recent experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist required
• Current basic life support (BLS) certification upon hire; ACLS within 6 months of hire

The Senior Employment Counsel is responsible for providing timely, accurate and effective legal guidance and advice, both proactively and reactively, in all aspects of employment and labor law, specifically identifying legal requirements, emerging trends and reoccurring issues, developing strategies to minimize legal liability, and advising business leaders and human resources professionals.

Primary Job Functions:

• Provide legal advice and counsel on federal and multi-state employment legal issues to business leaders and human resources executives and staff in all U.S. company locations.
• Recommend and implement best practices and proactive strategies consistent with legal requirements and emerging trends to minimize liability and promote positive employee relations.
• Proactively identify potential or recurring employment issues and provide advise on complex legal and regulatory issues having impact or potential impact across organizational entities.
• Develop, review and revise as required, company employment and labor policies and procedures.
• Conduct legal research and analysis as necessary.
• Draft, review and/or negotiate contracts as necessary.
• Direct and advise on internal investigations and audits.
• Devise, conduct and/or oversee employee training as needed on relevant issues.
• May provide advice and counsel on benefit plans, executive compensation, mergers & acquisitions and corporate governance.
• Pursue ongoing professional development in current areas of responsibility and in relevant, emerging areas of the law.
