Schedule – Monday through Thursday 3:45PM – 2:15AM

Summary:

American Surgical Company is seeking an experienced and results-driven Manufacturing Supervisor – Second Shift to lead production execution and team performance within our regulated medical device environment. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for coordinating second-shift operations, developing and supporting manufacturing associates, and ensuring consistent achievement of safety, quality, and delivery expectations through strong floor presence, clear communication, and disciplined execution of standard work.

This position also serves as the primary second-shift operations contact for support coverage in Quality, Facilities/Maintenance, and Materials, ensuring timely coordination, issue resolution, and effective shift-to-shift handoffs that maintain production flow and compliance. The ideal candidate will bring proven people leadership, sound decision-making, and a track record of driving performance and accountability in a fast-paced manufacturing setting

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead second-shift production execution across assigned areas to deliver safe, compliant, on-time output through strong floor leadership and clear daily priorities.
• Execute the daily production plan by assigning labor, coordinating equipment/resources, monitoring constraints, and adjusting schedules to meet demand.
• Drive shift performance by reviewing key production metrics and implementing corrective actions to close gaps and sustain improvements.
• Coach and develop associates through day-to-day leadership, feedback, recognition, and consistent accountability, including corrective action when needed.
• Serve as the primary second-shift operations contact for support coverage in Quality, Facilities/Maintenance, and Materials, coordinating priorities and response to maintain production flow and compliance.
• Triage and resolve shift-level issues (quality events, material constraints, equipment/facility interruptions); document actions taken and escalate complex issues to the Senior Manufacturing Supervisor as appropriate.
• Ensure effective shift communications and handoffs by communicating status, risks/constraints, and open actions to day shift leadership and cross-functional partners.
• Maintain compliance and audit readiness by reinforcing OSHA, GMP, ISO 13485, and cleanroom requirements and ensuring accurate production/time documentation.
• Maintain equipment readiness through basic troubleshooting and coordination with Facilities/Maintenance for preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Promote continuous improvement through standard work discipline, 5S/visual management, training effectiveness, and reduction of variation and waste.

• Proven ability to lead and motivate hourly manufacturing teams; drives accountability, engagement, and consistent execution.
• Strong production execution and labor planning skills; able to prioritize work, manage constraints, and maintain flow on second shift.

• Working knowledge of OSHA, GMP, ISO 13485, and cleanroom requirements; supports audit readiness through disciplined compliance and documentation practices.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or higher preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of manufacturing leadership experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Experience in medical device production and cleanroom environments preferred; experience in regulated manufacturing (ISO and/or GMP) preferred.
• Proficiency in Spanish is a must.

Language Skills:

• Must be fluent in English, with the ability to read, write, and communicate technical information clearly and effectively in both verbal and written formats.
• Proficiency in Spanish is a must and may be beneficial for effective communication in a diverse manufacturing environment.

Essential Functions

• Assume full responsibility for submittal logs and submittals, RFI logs and RFIs.
• Assist in reviewing change orders with the General Contractor and Sub-contractors.
• Assist in scheduling and/or facilitating the various project meetings.
• Have thorough knowledge of all major project issues and priorities.
• Keep superiors informed concerning the progress of the project and any issues that might affect the schedule, budget or status of the project.
• Assist in close out of the project.
• Maintain and complete site reports (during all stages of production).

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of Project Management specific experience.
• BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of the construction process and understanding of the specifications and field labor.
• Knowledge of the project management process and principles of scheduling and estimating.
• Strong skills in time management, communication, and the ability to work within tight deadlines and under pressure.

The IT Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of large-scale, cross-functional IT projects, including but not limited to ERP, WMS, MES, data integration, infrastructure, and manufacturing systems. We are supporting the launch of a new robotics and automation engineering hub for a well-established global industrial technology company with approximately $400M in annual revenue.

This facility will serve as a center of excellence, combining office space with a hands-on production and integration environment for the design, assembly, and implementation of advanced robotic solutions.

This is a hands-on role responsible for overseeing day-to-day operational, facilities, and production support activities to ensure efficient and safe execution across the site.

Responsibilities:

Inventory & Supply Chain Management

• Receive and inspect incoming parts and materials for accuracy and quality
• Maintain inventory records and perform regular stock audits
• Coordinate with suppliers to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely fulfillment
• Track shipments and monitor delivery schedules

Production Coordination

• Schedule and coordinate work with assembly contractors and external vendors
• Ensure proper documentation and build instructions are provided
• Monitor production timelines and address issues that may impact delivery
• Support quality checks during and after assembly

Plant Safety & Compliance

• Implement and maintain workplace safety procedures in accordance with regulations
• Conduct routine safety inspections and address potential hazards
• Maintain safety records and documentation
• Provide safety guidance and training for employees and contractors

Facilities Management

• Oversee day-to-day maintenance of the engineering and production facility
• Coordinate minor repairs, equipment upkeep, and workspace organization
• Ensure the facility remains clean, safe, and optimized for efficient operations
• Manage external vendors for major repairs, maintenance, or upgrades

Purchasing & Vendor Management

• Source and procure parts, materials, tools, and equipment
• Obtain and compare quotes, negotiate pricing, and manage supplier relationships
• Track purchases and maintain expense records
• Maintain a database of approved suppliers and contractors

Operational & Administrative Support

• Maintain operational documentation related to inventory, production, and facilities
• Prepare reports on operational performance and recommend improvements
• Track budgets related to supplies, contractors, and facility needs
• Support onboarding and coordination of contractors or new team members

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner closely with engineering, logistics, and leadership teams to support program execution
• Provide regular status updates and escalate operational risks or issues

Process Improvement

• Identify workflow inefficiencies and implement operational improvements
• Proactively resolve issues to minimize delays and disruptions

Qualifications

• Experience in operations, facilities, manufacturing, or production environments
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of inventory management and supply chain processes
• Familiarity with manufacturing, assembly, or hardware environments
• Understanding of workplace safety standards and compliance
• Proficiency with tools or software for inventory tracking, scheduling, and reporting
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
• Hands-on, self-starter mindset comfortable in a fast-paced environment
