Summary:

The technician assumes the responsibilities for constant electro-cardiographic monitoring with rapid, accurate notification of questionable patterns, and provides accurate documentation of information obtained from the cardiac monitoring equipment. Responsibilities:

• Discharges patient as approved by the RN.
• Monitoring Equipment Maintenance.
• Assures that all monitoring equipment is clean and stored in their proper place.
• Uses equipment and supplies with proper care at all times. Demonstrates proper knowledge of equipment function and supplies.
• Reports malfunctioning equipment to the charge nurse and clinical equipment department.
• Takes responsibility for procurement of new supplies and informs Unit Director of supply needs as they occur.

• Punctually gives/receives report on assigned patients. Report includes current information displayed on screen and arrhythmia analysis/history of each patient.
• Give a brief and accurate summary to the Charge Nurse of the patient's status hourly.
• Maintains a cooperative relationship with the medical staff.

• Accepts re-assignments and functions productively when reassigned.
• Answers phone quietly, quickly, and respectfully at all times. Accurately relays messages.
• Notifies RN of any dysrhythmia.
• Encourages direct discussion between staff members when differences occur and seeks assistance to arbitrate differences as needed.
• Gives and accepts constructive feedback appropriately.
• Identifies actual and potentially unsafe patient care practices, reports them in the designated manner, and suggests alternatives.

• Successful completion of Monitor Tech course preferred.

Experience

General Surgery Opportunity: Kingsville, TX

We are seeking an experienced, community-investedGeneral Surgeon (BC/BE)to join a thriving practice in Kingsville, Texas. This full-time position is designed for a surgeon who values professional autonomy and is comfortable managing a "broad scope" clinical workload, including gallbladders, hernias, EGDs, colonoscopies, and PEGS. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience and a desire to integrate into a tight-knit community. The role offers a balanced weekly scheduletypically3 days of clinic and 2 days of blocked OR timesupported by an established referral base and a collaborative call rotation (expected1:3, with potential for 1:2 for additional pay). • Surgical Facilities: The hospital features 3 Operating Rooms (non-hybrid) and a dedicated clinic building conveniently located on the hospital campus.

• Volume & Stats: With FY25 projections of over600 surgeries,21,500 ED visits, and1,700 discharges, the facility maintains a steady surgical volume.

• Clinical Environment:

  • Trauma Protocol: Operates as a "stabilize and transfer" center; any major trauma is stabilized in the ED and sent to Corpus Christi, while the majority of acute care cases are managed by on-site Hospitalists.

  • Specialty Support: Surgeons are supported by Hospitalists, Tele-Pulmonology, and Tele-Critical Care.

  • Maternal Health: While the surgeon provides general consults, a dedicated OB team is on-call for specialized surgical emergencies like complex C-sections.
