QUALIFICATIONS
The minimum qualifications for School Speech Language Pathologist Assistant:
· 1 year of verifiable, professional experience as School Speech Language Pathologist Assistant within the last 3 years (may include residency or clinical practicum)
· Valid School Speech Language Pathologist Assistant credential/license or in process in state of practice

Evolve Treatment Centers offers cutting-edge intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization, and residential programs for teens ages 12 to 17 struggling with substance use and mental health disorders. We use evidence-based treatment modalities, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI), as well as several experiential therapies.
We are currently looking for a Primary Therapist to join our residential treatment center in Walnut Creek, CA!
Requirements:
- Act as the point-person for each assigned client and their family during treatment
- Provide individual and family therapy to each client at a weekly frequency commensurate with the current level of care
- Facilitate 1-2 groups per week and complete group notes in the medical record
- Orient new clients and their caregivers to treatment and the program structure
- Facilitate Biopsychosocial Assessments and Risk Assessments for clients upon admission
- Create comprehensive treatment plans for clients, monitor progress and adjust, as needed
- Complete all clinical documentation (Initial and Master Treatment Plans, Treatment Plan Reviews, Progress Notes, Discharge Summaries, etc.) within required timelines and in line with Evolve, licensing, and accreditation standards
- Participate in the clinical on-call rotation and provide phone-based support to on-site staff; assist with managing after-hours crises and emergencies via phone
- Communicate medical necessity for clients to the Utilization Review team to ensure adequate insurance coverage is obtained
- Support clients and their families with discharge preparation, including after-care and living arrangement planning and Home Contract creation
- Coordinate with Program Director and select clinically appropriate discharge dates for clients
- Assess client belongings for clinical and safety-related appropriateness in a timely manner
- Identify clinically appropriate interventions for clients and communicate them to the Treatment Team, as needed
- Assess client risk throughout treatment and update behavioral interventions and safety plans, as needed per the Risk Assessment Policy and Procedure
- Provide clinical updates on clients during Treatment Team and weekly psychiatry meetings to ensure team coordination regarding client care
- Attend all trainings as assigned by Program Director
- Fulfill mandated reporting requirements as needed and with guidance from the Program Director
- Ensure that Outcomes Program assessments are completed at the required timepoints
- Interpret Outcomes Program data and integrate it into differential diagnosis and treatment planning
- Other duties, as assigned by the Program Director

- Associate (AMFT/ACSW/APCC) in California
- Must possess a valid California Driver's license.
- Must be able to pass a LiveScan background check and clear federal and state criminal background checks, and child abuse indexes.

The Associate Therapist training program provides a unique opportunity for clinicians to gain experience working with teens facing acute mental health issues, as well as understanding residential and intensive outpatient settings.
The Associate Therapist will provide clinical support to the residential programs located in Walnut Creek, Lafayette, Danville. They will be completing Biopsychosocial Assessments, acting as a Primary Therapist to clients as assigned, and providing Primary Therapist coverage as assigned. Primary Therapist duties include, but are not limited to, running DBT Skills Training groups, providing individual and family therapy, and completing all clinical documentation within the required timelines. This individual should be eager to learn and comfortable with a fast-paced environment. Clinical supervision will be provided, as well as several other training and shadowing opportunities.
Job Duties:
- Provide individual and family therapy to teens and their families
- Conduct biopsychosocial assessments upon admission both with assistance from Primary Therapists and independently
- Attend weekly clinical treatment teams and collaborate with clinicians to carry out individualized treatment plans
- Attend weekly Training Track supervisions with peers to learn and understand acute care services
- Participate in individual supervision when directly assigned cases
- Provide case management support and coordinate with After-Care manager to ensure clients have appropriate discharge plans
- Coach and collaborate with Residential Counselors to ensure effective behavioral interventions are carried-out with clients
- Participate in, and eventually lead, DBT skills groups
- Complete weekly treatment plan reviews, master treatment plans, other required clinical documentation
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in clinical psychology, Counseling, or Social Work
- Active BBS associate number (AMFT/ACSW/APCC)
- 1-year minimum training commitment requested
- Willing to go to all our east bay locations - Walnut Creek, Lafayette, Danville
Hours: Monday-Friday 9 am - 5:30 pm. This is a full-time, onsite position.

Overview:

Qualifications:
