Job Title : Oceanography Category / Component: Officer • Both Overview Oceanography (OCEANO) Officers, also called METOC, are the Navy's geophysical experts who understand and apply all facets of meteorology, oceanography, hydrography, bathymetry, geophysics, and precise time and astrometry.
Their mission is to define and apply the physical environment, from the bottom of the ocean to the stars, to ensure the U.S.
Navy has the freedom of action to deter aggression, maintain freedom of the seas, and win wars.
Key Responsibilities Provide timely and relevant support to fleet and joint operations by leading the collection, processing, prediction, exploitation, and dissemination of environmental data.
Ensure safety of navigation, access to denied waters, freedom to maneuver at will, and increase the lethality of Navy forces.
Lead teams ranging from small 3-4 person deployable units to large commands of over 400 personnel.
Serve as the one-of-one geophysical expert at an operational command.
What to Expect Serve in a variety of challenging operational billets with increasing scope and responsibility, both at sea and ashore.
The career path interweaves sea, shore, and educational tours.
Sea duty may include leading small team detachments on U.S.
and foreign vessels, serving as the embarked OCEANO Officer on an aircraft carrier or amphibious ship, or serving on a Strike Group or Joint Task Force staff.

Pathways, Training & Advancement Initial training includes the 3-week Information Warfare Basic Course (IWBC) and the 7-week Basic Oceanography Accession Training (BOAT).
Officers may also attend Division Officer Leadership Course (DIVOLC).
Postgraduate education at the Naval Postgraduate School is required for officers at the LCDR level and senior, typically as mid-grade Lieutenants.
Promotions to LTJG and LT occur at 2 and 4 years of service, with competitive promotion opportunities to LCDR, CDR, CAPT, and Flag Officer ranks.
Requires a Baccalaureate degree, preferably in a technical field, with a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or greater.
Must have completed a full college calculus series (I and II) with a minimum 'C' average, and a college-level calculus-based physics series (I and II) with a minimum 'B' average.
A desired degree is in physics, physics-based oceanography, meteorology, hydrography, earth science, engineering, or mathematics.

As a newborn hearing screen technician, you will provide hearing screens in the hospital after a baby is born. You will work on-site at one or more hospital locations to screen newborns for hearing loss. At Pediatrix, you will receive on-the-job training. This includes annual certification accredited by the American Academy of Audiology. Responsibilities
On a typical day, you will conduct newborn hearing screens, usually in a new mom's hospital room, and help educate parents about the importance of the screen using video and printed tools we provide. You will also be in charge of entering patient data and validation of hearing screens, as needed. Additional responsibilities may include helping to confirm or reschedule outpatient appointments, following up on any equipment issues and training new staff.
- Performing newborn hearing screens
- Verifying insurance information with parent/guardian
- Documenting hearing screen results accurately
- Following protocol for timely submission of billing
- Following protocol related to security and identification of infants
- Following infection control, safety awareness and other hospital, company, and program policies
- Recognizing potential problems and obtaining assistance, when necessary, in a timely manner
- Completion of company and hospital orientation or classes, including patient privacy training
- Completion and maintenance of employee health requirements

Qualifications
Experience Industry: Entry Level Healthcare
Minimum Qualification/Education Level:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays required
Preferred Experience Years: Entry Level. One to three months related experience
- Experience working with infants preferred
- Experience in a hospital setting preferred

To assist District Sales Manager in supervising retail store locations in assigned district, while developing necessary skill sets to perform the job functions required as a DSM.
Achieve district sales goals and profitability targets while maintaining home store performance
Support the DSM in evaluating people, performance, developing action plans to improve sales, and measuring results
Assist in staffing stores within the district
Assist in managing Loss Prevention practices within the district
Direct store operations and provide feedback, coaching, and accountability to all employees by enforcing all company policies and practices
Ensure that all company initiatives are properly implemented and to the standard of the company direction
Recruit, interview, and hire store management candidates as per Regional/DSM instructions
Train, develop, and promote store employees within the district
Regularly conduct store visits as per Regional/DSM instructions
Maintain regular communication with District Sales Manager, Regional, and corporate office staff
Prior retail district training management experience required
12 years retail sales experience
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Home store meets the Grand Open Ready criteria
Valid state motor vehicle operator's license
Willingness to travel extensively within district
Proven ability to increase sales and profitability
Proven ability to recruit, train, and develop high-caliber teams
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, fluid environment
Completion of all training programs leading up to District Manager in Training position or equivalent training/Multi-Store Supervisor experience
Ability to work night and weekend shifts
Ability to climb, reach, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
Stand for long periods of time
Must be at least 18 years of age*
