Job Description:

• Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Technicians install, overhaul, dismantle, construct, inspect, replace, test and make mechanical and electrical repairs to buildings and mechanical equipment such as boilers, compressors, sprinklers, piping, plumbing, production and material handling equipment, line equipment and controls.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot using working knowledge of programmable controllers, electronics, circuit analysis, mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics
• Performs plumbing and pipefitting duties as required on plant piping, such as steam, water, air, gas, and chemical lines
• Operates and repairs electrically and mechanically, all boilers, compressors, sprinklers, cooling towers and pumps as needed
• Read and interpret machine electrical and mechanical drawings
• Reads and interprets blueprints and schematic diagrams
• Installation, modification and fabrication of equipment and systems to meet production needs and schedules
• Welds and fabricates as necessary for repair or projects

• Ability to read and comprehend work orders, equipment manuals, blueprints, and electrical schematics.
• Ability to read and write clearly, and communicate effectively with co-workers, vendors, and supervisors.
• Understanding and demonstrated ability to apply troubleshooting techniques
• Does require training checklist and demonstration of skills
• Available to work up to 12 hours per day on rotating shifts, that could include weekends and holidays
• 6 to 12 months previous experience on a coating line is preferred
