POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides direct and indirect nursing care to patients in the ambulatory setting in accordance with UH policies and standards. Supports and promotes University Health values to ensure patient/guest relations. Performs the nursing process in a safe therapeutic manner in a designated clinic setting. Maintains, facilitates and promotes department policies and standards.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Graduation from an accredited school of vocational nursing is required. Starting pay varies based on experience; entry up to 2 years, 2–3 years and 4 years or more experience in health care delivery as an LVN. PALS and ACLS certification may be required based on site location.
LICENSURE
Must possess a current license to practice Vocational Nursing in the State of Texas. Must have a current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider or AHA BLS Instructor Provider card.
Facilitates child life advocacy through collaboration with other health care providers.
Serves as a leader in the department.

Assesses the patients and families to include development, family stressors, impact of procedures, diagnosis, and health care; identifies complex needs for child life intervention Observes and interprets the child/family's response to health care and illness Implements planned and purposeful play activities /interventions which are supportive of the child's needs during the health care visit Assesses and facilitates, through informal interaction and/or formal structured support groups or classes, topics such as stress & coping, adapting to illness & the health care experience, family dynamics, and other parenting-related topics Documents observations of patient and family and patient response to interventions Plans for, orders, and collects needed materials and equipment to support the therapeutic and educational activities within budgeted guidelines and in consultation with the Manager Maintains an accurate account of patient contacts and other related productivity information Serves as a resource to patients, families, and other healthcare team members regarding services available through child life and the community Evaluates Child Life Programming in collaboration with the Manager Supervises and guides interns, volunteers, and students in their Child Life learning experiences to include lectures, patient assignments, performance evaluation, and references, with direction from the Manager Job Requirements: Education/Skills Bachelor's degree in Child Life or a related field is required.
Master's degree in a related field is preferred Under the supervision of a Certified Child Life Specialist, must have completed a 600-hour child life internship.
Bilingual – English/Spanish is preferred.
Experience Minimum of 2 years paid experience as a Certified Child Life Specialist.
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications Must maintain Child Life Certification.
BLS certification is preferred.
BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.

Coordinate and perform diagnostic medical imaging procedures for the Department of Ultrasound; assisting the Radiologist utilizing a variety of diagnostic ultrasound equipment, both fixed or mobile.
Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of high quality ultrasound procedures including all vascular studies under minimal supervision utilizing diagnostic ultrasound imaging equipment.Documents calibration procedures for individual imaging equipment.Coordinates, organizes, plans and makes quick decisions on emergent cases; evaluates and acts to maintain efficiency and maximize productivity.Assists the Radiologist in performing invasive biopsy procedures using the Ultrasound system to pin point exact anatomical location(s) of a specified diseased area for specimen evaluation and diagnosis.Perform all vascular ultrasound exams requested.Ensures that all procedures are accurately charged and that all charges are turned in at the end of the day for correct billing.Ensures that the Ultrasound room is adequately supplied, check equipment and computer status for readiness, reports any problems that could change the work flow and make sure corrective actions are taken to ensure of work flow continuity.Demonstrates competence to perform assigned patient care responsibilities in a way that meets the age-specific and developmental needs of persons served by the department.Appropriately adapts assigned patient assessment to accommodate the unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, age-specific and other developmental needs of each person served.Demonstrates adherence to the Core Values of CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health Care.Takes personal responsibility to ensure compliance with all policies, procedures and standards as promulgated by state and federal agencies, the hospital, and other regulatory entities.Performs all duties in a manner that protects the confidentiality of patients and does not solicit or disclose any confidential information unless it is necessary in the performance of assigned job duties.Demonstrates adherence to the CORE values of Santa Rosa Health Care.Performs other duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
At the front door of University Health, this role serves to screen patients needing placement in acute or observation beds for the purposes of correct status determinations, and the coordination of appropriate diversions to home or other level of care more appropriate for the services needed to be rendered. This position requires assertive clinical acumen and communication skills for serving in the liaison roles with medical staff, nursing, and patients and families.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with current RN licensure in the State of Texas, BSN preferred. National certification (e.g. CCRN, RNC, CEN, CNOR, OCN, ANCC, CAN, CPAN, CFRN, etc.) in related field is preferred. Three years recent, full-time hospital experience preferred. Work experience in case management, utilization review or hospital quality assurance experience is preferred. Must complete a Clinical Documentation Improvement Course within specified time of hire date.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Current license from the Board of Nurse Examiners of the State of Texas to practice as a registered nurse is required. National certification in related field is preferred. Case Manager Certification (CCM or ANCC) is highly desirable.
