Summary:
The Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist is responsible for helping perform a variety of complex specialized tasks operating fluoroscopy, computed tomography, laser, and ultrasonography equipment during vascular and neuroradiology angiographic and interventional procedures. This individual is responsible for helping develop and implement systems to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of patients for procedures in the Interventional labs. Duties for this position include but are not limited to: circulating and scrubbing roles during procedures, patient teaching, assisting with patient care within the scope of practice, inventory management, and schedule coordination. Summary:
This position is responsible for the operation of provider practices usually consisting of 2-4 providers with 6-10 FTEs or at two different sites. The position is responsible for, but not limited to, managing subordinate personnel, preparing clinic(s) budget, ensuring data accuracy, preparing financial analyses, handling complex customer service issues and maintaining provider/staff communications.

- Establishes/implements goals, objectives, policies, procedures and systems for the assigned administrative areas.
- Assists with developing and implementing annual operational plan and budget.

- Performs examinations/procedures as needed to assist in patient throughput within the scope of the Manager’s license(s), certification(s), and/or documented competencies.
- Demonstrates flexibility by working other shifts and at other campuses as needed or required.
- Ensures completed exams are scanned and stored correctly in PACS.
- Ability to follow PACS downtime procedures as a PACS Superuser and escalate any problem(s) or issue(s) to the PACS administrator or Designee if needed.
- Troubleshoots and reports any equipment malfunctions to the Director/Manager and/or Biomedical personnel; does appropriate follow-up.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Education/Skills
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or other accepted and approved equivalent required
Experience
- 1 year of experience in a hospital preferred
- Basic computer experience required
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
- Radiography (R) by ARRT is required
- State Licensure required
- Texas: MRT by TMB
- Louisiana: LRT (R) or (F) by LSRTBE
- New Mexico: RRT by MIRTP NMED
- BLS required

Summary:
This position will be a true PRN position, covering for the full-time APCs in our Pre Admission Surgery Screening clinics when they are out on PTO.
The NP/PA hired for this position would need to be available when needed on a regular basis.
There is no per diem or travel stipend, more ideal for someone local or within reasonable driving distance to Tyler, TX.
