Description Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and experiencedCardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant (PA-C)to join our dynamic surgical team inTexarkana, TX.

This advanced practice provider will work closely with cardiothoracic surgeons and the surgical team to provide perioperative care with a focus onfirst assisting in the ORandendoscopic or open vein harvesting.

Key Responsibilities Serve asfirst assist in cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including CABG and valve surgeries Performvein harvestingusing endoscopic or open techniques Manage pre- and post-operative care in collaboration with the cardiothoracic surgery team Conduct patient assessments, order and interpret diagnostic studies, and develop treatment plans Round on post-op patients in the ICU and on the floor Educate patients and families regarding surgical procedures, recovery expectations, and discharge plans Document care and procedures accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) Participate in call coverage as scheduled Required Qualifications Current Physician Assistant license in the state of Texas NCCPA certification required Minimum of 2 years of experiencein cardiothoracic surgery with demonstrated proficiency infirst assistandvein harvesting BLS and ACLS certifications required Strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in high-acuity settings Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Schedule & Compensation Full-time, including shared call responsibilities Competitive compensation commensurate with experience Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance available Benefits Include Health, dental, and vision insurance Malpractice coverage (including tail) Paid time off (PTO) and holidays Continuing Medical Education (CME) allowance and paid CME days 403(b) retirement plan with employer match Supportive work environment and surgical mentorship Why Texarkana?
