POSITION SUMMARY

To ensure that each member of the weekend staff works together as a team to provide high quality imaging procedures to patients and physicians in a respectful and efficient manner. Those services must be provided in a safe and clean environment. This position is one of a working supervisor who performs studies while managing the work load of the department.
  • Multi-modality experience preferred (i.e. X-ray and CT, Ultrasound, MRI)
  • Supervisor experience preferred
  • Manages Imaging department on weekends, coordinates staffing, department procedures, and physician requests in multiple modalities.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Formal Education / Training:
Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology and subsequent Accreditation through The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Must be in compliance with CE Requirements.
BLS is required within 90 days of hire.

Workplace Experience:
Prefer three years of supervisory experience in a hospital that provides all imaging modalities.

Equipment and Skills Training:
Possesses general knowledge of x-ray equipment, other modalities, and computers. Will train on specific equipment and processes utilized at Williamson Health.

Physical Environment:
Radiation safety, MRI safety, and universal precautions practiced in a multi modality imaging department.

Physical Effort:
Possesses the ability to perform multifunctional tasks to include: physically manipulate and operate equipment, assist in the movement of patients from wheelchairs and stretchers to table; bend, twist, stoop; lift 20 pounds; communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing; make appropriate judgment decisions in urgent or emergency situations; and demonstrate emotional stability and psychological health in day to day interaction with fellow employees, patients, their families, and physicians.

  3. Provides proper radiation safety protection for all patients as well as self and other technologists. Follows ALARA, IMAGE GENTLY AND IMAGE WISELY.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT)
  • One year of experience in a Rad Tech role is strongly preferred
    • Exceptions may be made for exceptional new grads who excelled academically and demonstrated excellent technical skills during clinicals.
  • Ability to commute to TriStar Northcrest.
  • Ability to work 38.5 hours per week in one of our facilities while attending classes online to prepare for registry exam.
  • Although cross training hours may vary, we are looking for candidates available to work weekends upon graduation of the program (Friday-Monday 7A-7:30P).
