Responsibilities
The Maintenance Technician is to assist the Maintenance Supervisor in maintaining the physical integrity of the property. This involves ensuring a safe, secure and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors, and staff. The Maintenance Technician will carry out assigned duties in a safe manner and other duties as requested by the Maintenance Supervisor. In the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician will assume all maintenance responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities for this role:
- Apartment renovations and turns/Make-Ready
- Exterior preventative maintenance
- Complete work-orders in an effective and timely manner
- Standard handyman work including appliance repair & troubleshooting, painting, plumbing, light electric, light carpentry, & patching drywall.
- Porter/Grounds keeping work during downtime.
Maintenance Skills Desired
- 1+ year of experience as an Apartment Maintenance/Service Technician
- General knowledge of basic residential carpentry, sheetrock, painting, plumbing, and electrical
- Experience troubleshooting & repairing residential appliances
- Experience in HVAC and EPA 608 preferred but not required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- 2+ years' experience in maintenance property management
- EPA Universal Certification Required

The Opportunity
The Burnett School of Biomedical Sciences (BSBS) at the University of Central Florida (UCF), College of Medicine, invites outstanding applicants for a position as Instructor of Medicine. This non-tenure earning position will consist of laboratory instruction and supervising teaching assistants in the undergraduate Physiology teaching labs in the Burnett School on the main campus. Other aspects of the position can include mentoring students, leading undergraduate honors in the major projects, and service at the department, college, or university level. The anticipated start date is May or June 2026.

The Opportunity:
The Insurance Eligibility/Verification Specialist I supports clinical operations by managing insurance verification, eligibility, and essential administrative tasks. This role is a key point of contact for patient financial navigation and requires a strict commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of Protected Health Information (PHI).
Responsibilities:
Verify the insurance eligibility for patients and analyze policy coverage in order to maintain patient accounts in EHR system.
Determine deductibles, co-payments, and co-insurance for students and patients in participating insurance plans.
Verify that the insurance on file for patient appointments is active.
Update accounts with inactive insurance and contact patients for additional information.
Receive and verify patient insurance via multiple sources (in-person, phone, email, Qualtrics, kiosk, International Insurance Pool) and determine network status.
Collect the payment from patients for student health fees, co-pays, and prior balances. Perform applicable system searches when necessary to determine student status.
Assist with the appointments/referrals for departments and serve as the liaison between participating insurance plans and patients. Answer telephone calls. Greet patients and visitors, and direct them to the appropriate office in Student Health Services.
Confirm patient's medical insurance coverage to arrange for other services as needed within the assigned specialty Pod (e.g. laboratory, primary care, OB/GYN) with participating plans.
Perform other duties as assigned including but not limited to the timely completion of all required university and college training.

The University of Central Florida College of Graduate Studies oversees, supports, and advocates for over 10,000 students across 200+ master's, doctoral, specialist, and certificate programs. The Opportunity:
Under the direction of the Manager of Graduate Student Services, the Academic Evaluator II reviews eForms, evaluates graduate transfer credit, and updates the Graduate Plan of Study (GPS/degree audit). The position explains and clarifies academic policies and procedures related to transfer credit for students, faculty, and program staff. The Evaluator also assists with commencement preparation and attendance, certifies all graduate and certificate degrees, and provides high-quality customer service to graduate students, faculty, and program personnel.
Responsibilities:
Review, evaluate, and process graduate-level transfer credit requests. Resolve GPS (degree audit) related issues regarding graduate transfer credit.
Evaluate and process Programs of Study/eForms. Ensure GPS (degree audit) course substitutions/course moves comply with the Catalog Year/Requirement Term, as well as with graduate policy.
Process late Intent to Graduate (ITG) requests and communicate with college contacts at each phase of the graduation certification process. Attend and support each commencement ceremony. Conduct the final certification process each semester and award degrees once all requirements are met.
Provide quality customer service to graduate students via phone, email, or in person. Communicate with graduate department faculty and staff as well as other university offices to resolve student issues regarding student services, academic progress, and graduation. Refer students to others for appropriate assistance.
Perform testing and validation of Student Services PeopleSoft modifications, documenting results and providing feedback to the CGS ERP Specialist to support accuracy, reliability, and system improvements.

The Opportunity:
The Utilities and Engineering Services at Facilities and Business Operations is seeking to hire an HVAC Specialist I to help maintain a safe, functional, clean, and efficient living and learning environment on campus. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting HVAC issues, providing maintenance services, and responding to service requests from customers and staff. This position requires prompt response to emergencies and unexpected situations, with rotating assignments to support departmental needs and foster cross-training. The ideal candidate will have foundational skills in maintenance, repair, and replacement of building systems, including chilled and hot water pumps, electrical, and plumbing systems. On-call responsibilities will be assigned by your supervisor.
Responsibilities:
Perform corrective repairs in response to customerreported issues to restore functionality of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
Install, maintain, test, and calibrate refrigeration and HVAC components across campus.
Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance (PDM) to identify and prevent equipment failures.
Complete PMrelated repairs for defects discovered during routine inspections.
Assist central shops, contractors, other zones, and campus departments with support work as needed.
Perform routine and projectbased work, including tasks related to facility improvements or campus upgrades.
Complete work orders accurately and promptly, documenting labor hours, parts used, trade notes, and job status updates.
Report maintenance, health, or sanitation deficiencies and follow all university, local, state, and federal guidelines.
Maintain inventory control, secure equipment/materials, and participate in all required safety training.
Collaborate with campus partners to support departmental and university operational needs.
Assist other Facilities Operations zones during emergencies, staffing shortages, or special circumstances.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
Completion of an approved apprenticeship program in heating, ventilation and/or air conditioning; or a high school diploma and 2 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of hands-on experience performing preventative and predictive maintenance on HVAC systems.
EPA Certification or training in HVAC maintenance practices.
Practical experience in checking refrigerant charges and pressures, as well as handling and disposing of refrigerants safely.
Skilled in conducting repairs on a wide range of HVAC components, including air systems, compressors, and controls.
Familiarity with various computer programs, including Microsoft Office and the Integrated Work Management System (IWMS) or similar software.
Basic communication skills in English to work effectively with customers and operate electronic equipment.
Ability to work in extreme environments and collaborate within individuals from varied backgrounds and experiences.

This position is eligible for 5% Shift Differential Pay of the pay range minimum.

The Maintenance Technician is to assist the Maintenance Supervisor in maintaining the physical integrity of the property. This involves ensuring a safe, secure and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors, and staff at our property, ARIUM Crowntree Lakes. The Maintenance Technician will carry out assigned duties in a safe manner and other duties as requested by the Maintenance Supervisor. In the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician will assume all maintenance responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- The Maintenance Technician will conduct all business in accordance with company policies and procedures and all state and federal regulations (such as Lead Based Paint, ADA, Fair Housing, HAZCOM Program, OSHA, etc.).
- Must be knowledgeable of all pertinent laws and EPA and OSHA regulations.
- Must be aware of the condition of the property at all times and take immediate steps to correct any unsafe condition.
- Schedule and perform routine preventive maintenance on all appropriate equipment as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor and the Property Manager. Inspect and maintain all tools in excellent condition.
- Must be aware of all utility meter cut-offs, apartment and fixture cut-offs, and sewer clean-outs.
- Perform work area clean-up and safety related duties.
- Ensure that storage areas remain locked when not in use.
- Diagnose and perform minor or routine maintenance or repair, as directed, involving the following on a daily basis:
- Electrical and plumbing
- A/C and heating systems
- Appliances
- Water irrigation systems
- Stairs, gates, fences, patios, railings
- Tile, carpet, and flooring
- Roofing, gutters, fasteners
- Interior/exterior lights
- Fireplaces, ceiling fans
- Gas fixtures and appliances
- Shutters, doors, cabinets, windows, sliding glass doors
- Boiler, gas and electric
- Door locks, P.O. boxes and locks
- Security systems
- Ceiling leaks
- Walls
- Pool areas, tile, hot tub/spa, pool furniture
- Inspect and help coordinate all needed make-ready repairs and services. Assist make-ready staff as required to meet deadlines.
- Report all major repairs and need requisitions to Maintenance Supervisor prior to any expenditure of funds.
- Change locks, rekey locks and make keys.
- Remove and transfer heavy appliances and equipment from storage area to apartment (or vice versa) as circumstances warrant. Assist in moving abandoned furniture, appliances, etc. to dumpster when necessary.
- Any other requests made by the Maintenance Supervisor, Property Manager, Service Director, Regional Manager, or other company official as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- 2+ years' experience in maintenance property management
- EPA Universal Certification Required
- CPO Certification Preferred
- Ability to earn future designations as required by Industry standards, EPA regulations, OSHA requirements, etc.
- Must possess solid knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc. information as required by daily operations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Must be team oriented and a problem solver.
- Maintain professional appearance and manner at all times.
- May be required to work extended periods of time without relief, when responding to priority/emergency situations.
- Stooping, standing, climbing (ladders and stairs) as needed.
- Ability to lift and carry objects of up to 50 lbs. for distances of up to 30 feet.
- Must have a valid driver's license.

The Facilities Operations Landscape department within Facilities and Business Operations is looking for a Landscaper II to join their team! This will be a member of the Landscape Operations Projects team responsible for skilled installation and renovation of campus landscapes.
Responsibilities:
Support the Landscape Operations Projects Team by assisting with planning, coordinating, and executing landscape installation projects across campus.
Perform site preparation and install, transplant, or remove trees, shrubs, groundcover, and other landscape materials.
Assist the Hardscape Team with concrete removal and repairs, paver walkway work, pothole patching, and other small hardscape projects.
