Under the supervision of the Aquatics Director, this position is responsible for teaching swim lessons under the YMCA of the USA model. Swim Instructors should have experience teaching swim lessons and enjoy working with people, especially children as many lesson opportunities are with children.
Key ResponsibilitiesEssential responsibilities/principle activities include:
- Provide excellent member service by exceeding member expectations.
- Report on the deck 15 minutes before the scheduled shift dressed in a bathing suit.
- Have equipment ready before your class and store it promptly after your class. Make good use of available equipment, pool space, and personal resources.
- All instructors must start and end classes on time.
- Agree to teach for an entire session. Absenteeism MUST be kept to a minimum.
- Communicate child's progress with parents on an ongoing basis, not just when handing out progress reports.
- Adhere to all pool rules and policies. Begin the first class with a reminder of the rules, bathrooms, etc.
- Know and implement any and all emergency procedures.
- Maintain accurate attendance for each class as well as updated skill completions using all required forms. Any student missing 3 classes should be reported to the Aquatic Director.
- Take notes as need on the strengths and weaknesses of each child in the class.
- Maintain control and safety of the class. Keep a watchful eye on everyone in the class. All children in flotation should always be within arm's reach, and never turn your back on a class.
- Exercise good judgment, competence in meeting the goals, objectives, needs and interest of the YMCA, the class as a whole and the individual student.
- Incorporate all five-program components into each lesson: personal safety, water orientation/stroke development, water sports and games, rescue and personal growth.
- Maintain a clear and consistent line of communication with all supervisors.
- Participate in all branch safety and quality drills
- Attend all required monthly and yearly in-service trainings
- Engage in active listening with members in order to build relationships, understand each individual's goals and interests and take the initiative to assist in the achievement of those goals.
- Maintain a professional image and manner consistent with the YMCA mission and goals at all times.

This Project Manager 1 position is a member of the MSBA's Construction Administration Team that manages MSBA-funded capital projects from design development through bidding, contract award, construction, commissioning, and project close-out. The Project Manager 1 works with a motivated team reporting to a Project Manager3 for major projects and repair projects. The Project Manager 1 works with public school districts and consultants as part of a MSBA team to ensure conformance with MSBA's policies, agreements, and practices for major projects and repair projects through design development, construction and final audit. The Project Manager 1 will also review district submittals that establish grants for the repair program.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Monitor project schedules, budgets and scope for major construction and repair projects to ensure compliance with MSBA guidelines and funding agreements, and to track construction progress.
- Review monthly reimbursement requests for major construction and repair projects and recommend eligibility of project costs for reimbursement.
- Report on changes to the schematic design budget through the design development and bidding phases, process budget revisions, and review project cash flow for accuracy and variances.
- Review design development documents and prepare and issue review comments for major projects, identifying any variances to the agreed upon scope identified in the funding agreement.
- Review cost estimates, project scope and budget submittal to establish the grant for repair projects.
- Prepare and review change order documentation including recommendation of change order eligibility on major construction and repair projects.
- Review monthly project reports to understand submittal status, contract compliance, construction progress and identify variances. Utilize this information as well as lead site visits to inform MSBA reporting to the Board of Directors.
- Collaborate with the project team to review and make recommendations to improve MSBA processes and inform best practices for school construction.
- Lead in project meetings addressing project status, funding agreements, amendments and change orders.
- Collaborate with the project team to develop a schedule for the timely submittal of all final documents required for final audit of major construction and repair projects. Coordinate with the project team to resolve any outstanding items required and reconcile and approve the final payment.
- Participate in Capital Planning and Construction Administration subcommittees and procurement committees, on an as needed basis.
- Participate in the preparation, coordination and presentation of materials required for MSBA subcommittee, roundtables and Board of Director Meetings.
- Bachelor's degree in one of the following: project management, construction, architecture, engineering, or a related field.
- Two-to-five years of experience associated with construction, project management, building design or other applicable disciplines.
- Knowledge of construction project administration, contract compliance monitoring, change orders and construction methods.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

We are a boutique law firm concentrating in complex civil litigation, condominium law, and landlord–tenant matters. We are seeking a seasoned, highly organized, and proactive paralegal with 5–7+ years of experience who can make an immediate and meaningful contribution to our practice and our clients. This is a primarily remote position, with the expectation of working in the office one day per week.

Key Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing files independently and supporting attorneys from case inception through resolution. Responsibilities include:
Litigation Support
- Drafting pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and correspondence
- Managing e-filing in Massachusetts state courts (including District Court, Housing Court, Superior Court, and Appeals Court)
- Calendaring deadlines and maintaining litigation timelines
- Coordinating service of process
- Preparing exhibits, affidavits, and trial notebooks
- Assisting with trial and hearing preparation
Condominium & Real Estate Matters
- Assisting with document review related to condominium governance and enforcement
- Preparing demand letters and enforcement-related filings
- Coordinating lien filings and collection-related documentation
- Supporting transactional and governance matters as needed
Landlord–Tenant Practice
- Preparing summary process complaints and related filings
- Managing notices to quit and statutory compliance documentation
- Tracking Housing Court procedures and deadlines
- Communicating with clients regarding case status and required documentation
Administrative & Case Management
- Maintaining and organizing digital case files
- Managing document workflows and internal systems
- Client communication and intake coordination
- Supporting billing processes and time entry (as applicable)
- Ensuring compliance with court rules and procedural requirements
Qualifications
Required:
- 5–7+ years of paralegal experience (litigation experience required)
- Strong familiarity with Massachusetts court procedures and e-filing systems
- Excellent drafting skills and attention to detail

- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
