Job Description:
The Opportunity: Contribute To The Growth Of Your Career.
Provides support to a group of up to 2 DVP/Merchandise Managers. Support includes administrative functions such as organizing calendars, meeting coordination, report generating, and travel arrangements. This administrative support also includes coordination and preparation of internal and external meetings up to attending to take notes and any post meeting follow up. Prepares and submits expense reports. Admin may initiate creation of additional tools based on business needs and knowledge of MM needs. Must maintain confidentiality.
- Assist MMs with business needs and tools to include pulling focus reports and OLVP (Cognos) reports and the development of reports and spreadsheets. Perform analysis as directed by MMs. (Strong Excel Required)
- Coordinate all business travel for the MMs and in some cases their teams. This includes weekly travel to the market, comp shopping trips, international travel and any other travel that is business related.
- Coordinate and prepare all necessary information for both internal and external meetings. This will include typing all memos before the meeting, creating notes, grids and spreadsheets for the meeting, attending meetings (when necessary) to take notes as well as recapping notes post-meeting and following up with any outstanding topics. Some analysis may be necessary during the pre and post steps.
- Organizes calendars for the MMs and types up notes and memos on behalf of the MMs. May be responsible for typing buyer evaluations and must maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Prepares, submits and files expense reports accordingly.
- Troubleshoot technology issues (i.e. iPhone, iPad, Laptop, etc.) and escalates issues to the appropriate parties.

Position Summary:
The Associate Director, Quality Control will be responsible for providing strategic, scientific, and operational leadership for the development, qualification, validation, and lifecycle management of analytical methods supporting Upstream Bio’s lead program verekitug. This role will manage and execute GMP quality control (QC) activities directly related to batch release for clinical trial material supply. The leader in this role must assure that quality controls for investigational new drugs (investigational medicinal products) meet all quality requirements, regulatory standards, and meet continuous clinical supply and delivery expectations. The Associate Director will report to Senior Director of Analytical and serve as a key partner to Quality, CMC, Regulatory, and cross-functional teams. This individual will provide technical guidance and business acumen to ensure execution of analytical activities for late-stage programs through BLA/MAA submission, approval, and commercial launch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Author, review and approve analytical method procedures/SOPs
- Author, review and approve analytical method transfer/qualification/validation protocols and reports
- Manage external CDMOs and CROs to execute Development and GMP release and stability testing of Drug Substance and Drug Product in a compliant-manner

Target Salary Range: $176,400 - $215,600

ACCELERATING YOUR FUTURE
The Manager, Quality Assurance Plant Operations, is responsible for leading QA plant operations and expertise in manufacturing plant operations. This includes developing QA specific procedures related to product disposition, line clearance and review and approval of GMP documentation including but not limited to Batch Records, Validation Protocols/Reports, and Calibration/Work Order Records. The ideal candidate has worked in a startup environment with internal manufacturing operations. The candidate will also assist, as required, with product receipt, shipment and disposition, line clearance and quality system review/ approval in the QA role. This is a full time, on-site role at our Hopkinton, MA location. Weekends and holidays may be required.
How You Will Make an Impact:
- Lead the day to day operations for the Quality Assurance team. This includes but is not limited to oversight of product disposition, deviation, CAPA, Change Control, internal audit and training.

ACCELERATING YOUR FUTURE
· Author, review, approval, and final authorization of microbiology methods (test results and records, test methods, equipment records) and ensuring adherence to regulatory agency requirements, Client standards, policies, SOPs for cell therapy products and experience with EU Annex requirements.
· Execute procedures for microbiology methods in support of method lifecycle activities including method transfer, qualification, validation, compendial verification, and performance monitoring.
· Support microbiology equipment installation and qualification, ensuring 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.
· Participate as microbiology method subject matter expert (SME) in investigations, OOS, deviation, change controls, and CAPAs to support cGMP operations.
· Provide support to QC Operations as method SME: develop training approach, training documents and provide training for new methods.
· Perform non-routine/routine QC testing for in process samples, product testing, stability testing, or raw material testing as needed.
· Work collaboratively with cross functional departments including but not limited to QC Technical Services, Quality Assurance, and Program Management.
· Ability to prepare technical data and present to senior leadership.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
· Bachelor’s degree in Biology (Microbiology)
· 4+ years of microbiology laboratory experience with rapid microbiological methods is a plus (rapid sterility, endotoxin, gram stain).
· Experience in a cGMP QC laboratory environment performing environmental monitoring, contamination control and investigation writing.
· Excellent/Effective written and verbal communications skills.
· Prepare technical data and present to senior leadership.
· Escalate issues professionally and on a timely basis.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working under the supervision of our sprinkler operations manager, the fire sprinkler designer will:
- Design layouts of fire sprinkler systems, including coordination with other MEP trades
- Perform hydraulic calculations and stock listing
- Attend virtual and project coordination meetings
- Perform field surveys and hydrant flow tests
- Provide occasional support to estimating department to prepare / review bid drawings

QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 3+ years previous experience performing sprinkler design and calculations
- Strong technical background in mechanical, plumbing, and/or fire protection systems
- Knowledge of NFPA standards
- NICET certification a plus
- AutoSPRINK experience a plus
- Previous installation experience a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
