Flight Software links together the mechanical, avionics, algorithmic, and embedded worlds to actually make the airplane fly. As a Flight Software Test V&V Engineer, you will develop the test cases to support the test verification processes ensuring that the aviation products we develop are safe to fly and help provide a high-fidelity training environment for our flight-test crews.

Responsibilities

As a Flight Software Test V&V Engineer on the Simulation and Test Systems team, you will be instrumental in testing and deploying autonomous aircraft software. The Simulation and Test Systems team architects, builds, and maintains the hardware and software infrastructure necessary to verify aircraft performance prior to flight testing. Your responsibilities include verifying flight software functionality across diverse integrated test environments, such as software-in-the-loop (SIL), hardware-in-the-loop (HITL), and on-aircraft testing. You will also author and execute test procedures for on-ground aircraft testing.

A key part of this role involves designing, building, and maintaining automated test scripts within our test ecosystem. These scripts will support functional testing and requirements-driven software tests necessary for FAA certification.

This is a highly collaborative, hands-on position. You will coordinate with engineering teams throughout the company to develop test plans, execute tests, investigate issues, and drive problems to closure. You will also be responsible for the maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of test and simulation equipment.

Basic Success Criteria

• 3+ years professional experience testing software

• 3+ years professional experience Python and exposure to C++ build systems

• 3+ years of experience testing integrated hardware / software products or mission-critical systems

• Experience authoring problem reports, test reproducibility steps, and procedures for internal team collaboration

• Hands on experience using laboratory electrical test equipment such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and/or logic analyzers

In your role as Flight Software Engineer, you will develop highly deterministic C++ software in a bare metal environment that works with sensors & control systems, robustly handles system faults, and integrates with other vehicle subsystems. As a Lead Test Pilot you will have a senior leadership role within the flight operations team at Reliable Robotics. You will provide direction to the team, and be a leading voice to help guide the development of our safety enhancing technology. You will work in a highly collaborative environment and coordinate with multiple engineering teams across the company to develop and execute flight test plans.

Responsibilities

In your role as Lead Test Pilot, your primary role will be to lead a team of highly motivated flight test pilots and engineers. You will also be responsible for developing and safely executing flight test plans in support of research and development efforts, and will fly the aircraft in both onboard and remote configurations. You will coordinate the training and scheduling of contract pilots, and help to ensure that all aspects of experimental flight operations are set up for safety and success. You will coordinate with Reliable's Part 135 airline operations to support standardization of pilot procedures across the organization. Throughout the development process, you will be instrumental in the execution of flight tests, data reviews, and proper operation of the system.

Basic Success Criteria

• FAA Commercial Pilot ASEL with 1500 total flight hours, including at least 500 fixed wing and 500 turbine engine

• Current Second Class FAA Medical Certificate or higher

You will join a team of interdisciplinary and mission-driven engineers with experience across aerospace, robotics, and self-driving vehicles.

Responsibilities

In your role as a Displays Software Engineer, your primary focus will be designing, architecting, and building a variety of real-time user interface applications for controlling our automated aircraft systems. These can range from browser-based applications to real-time embedded UIs on aviation-grade hardware. All of these applications will support our work to build a fully certified system in multiple ways: they will serve as a platform for rapidly prototyping different workflows and designs; they will be directly used in our ongoing experimental test flight programs; and they will ultimately serve as a reference implementation for our certified displays and controls. You will have ownership over the entire lifecycle of these applications and will work with software engineers and designers within the team, as well as systems engineers and pilots to build systems that are safe, user-centered, and certifiable.

• Troubleshoot business and production issues by gathering information (for example, issue, impact, criticality, root cause), engaging support teams to assist in the resolution of issues. Formulate action plans, performing actions as designated in the plan. Interpret the results to determine further action, perform root cause analysis to prevent future occurrence of issues and complete online documentation.
• Provide support to the business by responding to users' questions, concerns, and issues (for example, technical feasibility, implementation strategies). Facilitate resolutions and lead cross-functional partnerships.
• Driving projects of high visibility across the organization.

Compensation: $50-$60/hour, depending on experience

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. We are looking for a Data Collection Associate to join our growing team in Kirkland, WA OR Santa Clara, CA.

Qualitest is looking for Data Collection Associates (DCAs) to support Ground Truth Data Collection initiatives and contribute to the development of VR and AR products. The focus of ground truth data collection is to capture various types of data relating to humans, speech, and environments to enable quality Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning algorithms. DCAs will be responsible for performing data collection directly with participants while utilizing sophisticated scanning equipment in a simulated environment. The ideal candidate has the perfect blend of customer service and technology skills.

Responsibilities

• Entry level position
• Handles constructive feedback well
• Guide hired research participants for data collection sessions in a secured office or home environment to perform scripted motion captures
• Prep and maintain assigned equipment and ensure security of proprietary devices
• Prep participants for capture including intake,NDAs, scripting and answering questions
• Maintain capture environment and implement lighting and staging changes
• Respond swiftly to project updates and changes
• Provide feedback to operations lead on project improvements
• Perform data uploads
• Troubleshooting: Ability to mitigate issues, customer facing, or technology related
• Other duties as assigned, per business needs

• High school diploma and 2+ years working in a team environment
