The Broward County Board of County Commissioners is seeking qualified candidates for Medical Legal Investigator.
This is technical, laboratory, and investigative work in the Office of Medical Examiner and Trauma Services. Work involves conducting interviews and research in office and field settings to determine the cause and manner of death. Responsibilities also include the use of crime laboratory technology including photography to assist in collection of evidence at the scene of the death. Exercises independent judgment in selecting salient information and evidence to collect for use in determining cause of death.
In addition, the incumbent will and must have the ability to:
* Perform complex death investigations and possess medical knowledge and terminology.
* Work on and investigate cases for the cremation approval program.
* Work on and investigate cases for the Indigent Cremation Programs.
* Handle sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner and maintain confidentiality.

* Research next-of-kin and identity of bodies. Arrange for family or friends to identify cadavers.
* Use established criteria to determine if cases fall under the jurisdiction of the Medical Examiner's Office, initiates action for Medical Examiner's office cases.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Requires either an Associates degree in criminal justice or biological science plus evidence of six (6) months volunteer work or internship in the field or one (1) year of related investigation experience including six (6) months knowledge and experience in the use of medical terminology.
Special Certifications and Licenses Required
American Board of Medicolegal Death Investigator (ABMDI) certification, minimum at the Diplomat Level, must be obtained within 24 months of hire and maintained for duration of employment.
Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Class E Driver's License for duration of assignment.

There are numerous positions available for entry, mid-level and supervisory roles in manufacturing operations. The Manufacturing Science Associate will engage in various aspects of pharmaceutical production, including formulation, aseptic filling, visual inspection and secondary packaging, as well as equipment and process implementation activities required to bring the facility into service. - Minimum education: Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific discipline such as Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or other related discipline, or a High School Diploma/GED equivalent with more than five (5) years of relevant work experience.

About the Role
Titan America is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Director of Procurement to lead enterprise procurement and category management across our cement, aggregates, ready-mix, and related operations. This role will drive procurement performance through disciplined category strategies, strong supplier partnerships, and effective execution of procurement operations that support safe, reliable, and cost-efficient manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute enterprise category management strategies across key spend areas, including energy, raw materials, mobile equipment, industrial services, MRO, and capital equipment.
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives that optimize total cost of ownership while ensuring operational reliability across Titan America’s manufacturing sites.
- Drive procurement initiatives that deliver measurable cost savings, cost containment, and operational efficiencies across the organization.
- Lead negotiations for major supply agreements and long-term supplier contracts, ensuring strong commercial terms and performance expectations.
- Oversee procurement operations to ensure the timely sourcing, contracting, and delivery of materials and services critical to manufacturing continuity.
- Partner closely with plant leadership, engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to align procurement activities with manufacturing excellence, plant reliability, and safety priorities.
- Utilize SAP procurement and materials management systems to drive purchasing efficiency, transparency, and accurate reporting across the enterprise.
- Ensure procurement processes and controls comply with SOX (Sarbanes–Oxley) requirements, including appropriate approval authorities, documentation, and audit readiness.
- Establish and maintain strong supplier performance management programs, including evaluation of quality, service, cost competitiveness, and risk mitigation.
- Implement spend analytics and reporting frameworks to improve procurement visibility, support strategic decision making, and identify cost improvement opportunities.
- Support capital investment initiatives through disciplined procurement planning, vendor selection, and contract management.
- Identify opportunities to leverage enterprise scale, consolidate suppliers, standardize purchasing practices, and strengthen supply chain resilience across business units.
- Develop and lead a high-performing procurement and supply management team, promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure procurement policies, governance, and contracting practices meet corporate compliance standards and support operational transparency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive procurement and supply chain leadership experience, preferably within cement, mining, aggregates, heavy manufacturing, or industrial sectors.
- Demonstrated experience leading category management and strategic sourcing programs in complex industrial environments.
- Strong commercial negotiation skills and experience managing large supplier contracts.
- Proven ability to deliver measurable cost savings and operational improvements.
- Experience supporting manufacturing operations, plant maintenance, and capital project procurement.
- Strong experience with SAP procurement or materials management modules.
- Familiarity with SOX compliance requirements and procurement-related internal controls within a publicly traded company environment.
- Strong analytical, financial, and supplier management capabilities.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience within the cement, aggregates, mining, or construction materials industry.

Pay range and compensation package
This position is based in Deerfield Beach, Florida, and reports directly to the Executive Vice President of Technology, Procurement, and Strategic Projects.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing vertical construction projects with an aptitude for and an ability to manage a variety of challenging projects. The candidate will possess experience in preparation of scope, budget, schedule, documents for the selection of consultants, negotiating agreements, management of projects through all phases of development including planning, programming, design, bid documentation, procurement, construction administration, and warranty administration as well as the oversight of design consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
The top candidate will have experience in the latest construction methods and technology including Building Information Modeling (BIM), document control programs, and scheduling programs. Performs advanced professional and administrative work with supervisory responsibilities in the management of construction projects for the County.

Minimum Education and Experience RequirementsRequires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in architecture and/or engineering or closely related field; Master's degree preferred.
Requires six (6) years in professional architectural or engineering work, including four (4) years of experience in project management and supervision of staff appropriate to the area of assignment or closely related experience.
Special Certifications and LicensesRegistration as a professional architect or registered engineer or NCIDQ (Space Planning Only) based upon area of assignment.

Duties and Responsibilities
The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the job as necessary.
Manages and monitors construction contractors and consultants; develops, administers and negotiates construction and consultant contracts, master plan studies, amendments, change orders, and work authorizations.
Coordinates stakeholders including user and County agencies: County Attorneys, Purchasing, Small Business Division, Building Departments; FDOT and other regulatory agencies.
Supervises other project managers and engineering technicians; performs reviews and oversight of projects managed by subordinates; reviews plans and specifications, engineering calculations, pay applications, invoices, and Florida Building Code.
Reviews project progress and resolves design and construction related issues; negotiates fees and scope with consultants; designs projects, signs and seals construction documents, permit applications and reports.
Assists with contract developments and bidding process; reviews bids for conformance to construction documents; administers and manages consultant and contractor contracts for adherence and performance.
Establishes a Quality Control/Quality Assurance (QC/QA) Project Program and procedures for the Project Management Section and the Division to standardize the project management process, improve quality and performance.
Carries out special assignments requested by Division Director; meets with subordinates to review the status of their assigned projects; prepares job performance evaluations for subordinates.
Conducts meetings with consultants and contractors to review progress of work and manage all aspects of the project; reviews and approves invoices and payment requests from consultants and contractors; assists in the preparation of new fiscal year budget requests.
