The Taxpayers Protection Alliance (TPA) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Government Relations Associate to support the organization’s advocacy at the federal and state levels. This position will assist TPA’s government affairs team in tracking legislation, engaging with policymakers and coalition partners, and advancing policies that protect taxpayers and promote limited, accountable government. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in public policy, excellent research and organizational skills, and a commitment to advancing free-market solutions on behalf of taxpayers.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and track federal and state legislation, regulatory activity, and policy developments relevant to the Taxpayers Protection Alliance’s priorities.
- Assist in developing policy materials, including issue briefs, legislative memos, and background research for internal and external use.
- Support outreach to congressional offices, state policymakers, regulatory agencies, and coalition partners.
- Help coordinate meetings, briefings, and events with policymakers, staff, and stakeholder organizations.
- Assist in drafting advocacy materials such as letters, comment submissions, fact sheets, and policy summaries.
- Maintain legislative and stakeholder databases and help track engagement with policymakers.
- Represent TPA at policy briefings, coalition meetings, and relevant events as needed.
- Provide logistical and administrative support for government relations initiatives and campaigns.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in public policy, political science, economics, or a related field.
- Strong interest in public policy, government affairs, and taxpayer advocacy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex policy issues clearly and concisely.
- Strong research and analytical skills, including the ability to track and interpret legislation and regulatory developments.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced policy environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with legislative tracking tools (BGov, Politico Pro, etc) or policy databases is a plus.
- Prior internship or professional experience in federal or state government, public policy, advocacy, or a related field preferred.

About the Role
We are seeking an entry-level Program Associate to provide administrative and logistical support for health program activities. This role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals interested in program management and health equity. You will gain hands-on experience in event coordination, research projects, and cross-sector partnerships.
You will work closely with the Senior Health Program Manager and Programs Director to implement initiatives such as the Cancer Caregiving Collaborative and Caregiver Inclusion Value Initiative, as well as other projects that advance NAC’s mission.
Key Responsibilities
Program Coordination:
- Assist in developing and tracking project workplans, timelines, and performance measures to meet project goals and deliverables.

GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Director of Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation (VA&R) position is located in Washington, D.C. The incumbent is responsible for overseeing the operations of the American Legion’s VA&R Division. Develop policy and activities relative to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), National Cemetery Administration (NCA), and the Board of Veterans Appeals (BVA). Serve as an advocate for veterans and members of their families to Congress, the VA and other organizations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Serve as the resident expert on VA programs benefiting veterans, their families, and caregivers including but not limited to healthcare and non-healthcare benefits.
- Advise the Executive Director of Government Affairs on technical information related to the VA’s healthcare system and disability claims processes.
- Supervise and oversee The American Legion programs within the Health Policy, Benefits and Claims, and Veterans Programs sections.
- Review, Revise, and develop a full campaign for the Be the One (BTO) Campaign initiative; continue to provide oversight and modifications for BTO related efforts going forward and report to national leadership as required.

- Ensure VA&R Division has resident knowledge of and participation in the federal rule making process.
- Prepare and deliver Congressional testimony on behalf of the national organization.
- Conduct and oversee research, studies and surveys that assist in the development of legislation or policy on veteran’s healthcare and benefits.
- Be prepared to assume a board seat with The Veterans Consortium after one year of being the VA&R Director.

The Front Desk Supervisor, functioning under the supervision and guidance of the Center Operations Director and/or Clinical Dyad leader, is responsible for organizing and directing the work of the front desk staff, coordinating staff activities and schedules to ensure effective patient care services are provided, and ensuring quality standards are met. Leads the VIP customer experience from center entry to exit by ensuring our patients and their family members have a pleasant and memorable experience every visit and with every interaction. - Examines medical release forms for accuracy and PCP sign off prior to release of medical records. Ensures the e-fax folder is routinely checked and that documents received are correctly uploaded and indexed.
- Reviews phone messages to ensure proper and timely routing and follow-up. Ensures after hours messages from patients are recorded in the patient's medical record and followed up on by the appropriate discipline.
- Troubleshoots Dashboard, phone, and computer issues.
- Orders office and other needed supplies to ensure the Center is properly inventoried, stocked and maintained.
Other responsibilities may include:
- Fills in for Care Facilitator as needed for scheduled and unscheduled absences.

- Supports the patient VIP experience by assisting with new patient paperwork and supporting New Patient Welcome and Tours.

Bowhead seeks a Senior Operations Manager to join our team in providing program management support in a broad range of services to the Shipyard Infrastructure Optimization Program (SIOP) and assisting our US Navy clients in the execution of the SIOP mission. SIOP is chartered with modernizing the infrastructure at the four public shipyards in Pearl Harbor HI, Puget Sound WA, Kittery ME, and Portsmouth VA. This position is in support of the Washington Navy Yard.
The Senior Operations Manager at the WNY supports the SIOP Executive Team by helping to develop policy, strategic direction and briefings for the PEO, Congressional inquiries, ASN, NAVFAC and other internal and external stakeholders. This position is an integral liaison between SIOP Executive Leadership, the Shipyard Directors, and other organization. The Senior Operations Manager prepares reports, briefings, and audits to monitor and improve operations effectiveness across the SIOP program. This position acts on behalf of the SIOP Executive Team, and with the Bowhead SIOP Program Manager, to coordinate communication between different Divisions and Shipyard functions. A bachelor's degree is required, masters degree is preferred. The Senior Operations Manager at the WNY reports directly to the Bowhead SIOP Program Manager with daily on-site interaction with WNY SIOP Executive Team Leaders and Division Managers to ensure that project and department milestones and goals are met adhering to approved budgets. Extensive knowledge of processes necessary to govern ACAT and MDAP Programs is required including activities leading up to Gate and Milestone reviews.
Job duties include but are not limited to assisting SIOP Executive Team to:
- Provide executive level project management support with schedules, risk, quality management, and strategic planning toward Milestones and Goals;
- Provide master planning, studies, and program strategic support;
- Support meetings with internal and external stakeholders and as required, conduct what-if analysis and develop / recommend courses of action (COAs);
- Support SIOP Executive team as liaison with Shipyard Department Heads regarding strategic communications, scheduling and financial analysis, workforce analysis, gate and milestone reviews, and workforce culture and reporting;
- Advise and draft direction and continuity of policies, programs and operations of the SIOP PMO and Field Offices;
- Assist with formulating, coordinating, reviewing and evaluating the effectiveness of organization operating policies, regulations and procedures;
- Assist SIOP leadership by liaising with Shipyard leadership in maintaining continuous awareness of overall organization activities and advising leadership on matters of concern;
- Assist in identifying and prioritizing actions requiring final decision-making authority of SIOP senior leadership;
- Provide high level, external and internal liaison regarding programmatic and administrative issues;
- Develop long range plans consistent with the strategic vision of the organization while exercising a high degree of originality and judgment;
- Assure Executive Leaders have materials and information necessary to support successful Gate 4 and Gate 5 briefings as well as for Milestones B and C for SIOP;
- Establish, evaluate and maintain a method for determining, prioritizing and tracking schedules and major assignments;
- Assist in establishing and tracking appropriate metrics to demonstrate individual and team performance;
- Develop and champion innovative ideas to improve the organization and create an environment that fosters innovation and continuous process improvement;

Qualifications:
- Ten years (10) years professional experience managing NAVFAC Programs,
- Additional NAVSEA Program Management Executive or SEA04 experience is a plus,
