Key Responsibilities


• Prepare court pleadings, including drafting motions, responses, and other litigation filings

• File and respond to discovery requests in General District Court and Circuit Court

• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda of law and briefs

• Participate in pretrial hearings, motion hearings, and trial-related proceedings

• Assist with preparing attorneys and clients for depositions and trials

• Support the preparation of appeal briefs, responses, and related appellate filings

• Manage multiple litigation matters while maintaining deadlines and court requirements

• Collaborate closely with attorneys and clients on case development and litigation strategy

Qualifications


• 1–4 years of experience as a Litigation Associate Attorney or similar litigation role preferred

• Litigation experience preferred

• Admission to the Virginia Bar required

• Must be and remain licensed to practice law and in good standing in the State of Virginia

• Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA-accredited law school with an outstanding academic record

• Superb research and analytical skills

• Strong organizational and matter management abilities

• Excellent writing and oral communication skills

• Connection to the Hampton Roads area preferred

• Ability to manage multiple matters efficiently in a fast-paced environment
