Key Responsibilities
Daily Responsibilities
- Monitor bank balances and transfer funds between accounts to maintain appropriate balances
- Post account activity not already recorded, including increases and decreases
- Maintain Positive Pay for checking and payroll accounts
- Process accounts payable items not handled by other associates (subcontractors, advertising, licenses, ACH payments, credit cards, etc.)
- Compile customer allowances and refunds; prepare weekly refund processing
- Manage daily email correspondence related to payments, invoices, customer refunds, and sales order or serial number requests
Weekly Responsibilities
- Review accounts payable and submit for CEO approval
- Print and mail checks, including customer refunds, and process credit card refunds
- Prepare subcontractor weekly pay reports, submit for approval, and process ACH payments
- Run reports, review, and post accounts receivable related to completed delivery tickets
Monthly Responsibilities
- Record and reconcile corporate credit card (AMX) transactions and process payment
- Perform bank reconciliations for payroll, savings, money market, and other accounts
- Complete month‑end close procedures and clean financial reports
- Review payroll bi‑weekly prior to submission; prepare and post payroll journal entries
- Order office and janitorial supplies as needed

- Ideal candidates will possess welding experience with GMAW, GMAW-P and SMAW
- Performs welding processes on carbon steel (OSS, HSS, HY, HSLA, etc.) assemblies to required tolerances using welding metals, metal alloys and with various joint configurations.
- Determines layouts and welds parts and assemblies according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Oxy/Fuel pre-heat and carbon arc gouging, occasional mirror welding. Verifying weld size using weld gauges.
- Will monitor and verify quality in accordance with SSP's or MDD's.
- Requires occasional heavy lifting up to 45lbs multiple times during an 8 to 12-hour shift.
- Requires standing and walking for extended periods during an 8 to 12-hour shift.
- Requires occasional bending from waist, crouching, kneeling and crawling periodically during an 8-to-12-hour shift.
- Requires occasional climbing ladders up to 25 feet at a time.
- Requires occasional working in confined space work environment with the potential of extreme temperature exposure, chemical exposure, and radiation exposure during an 8-to-12-hour shift.

Qualification, education, and experience requirements:

- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision/oversight; have working knowledge of precision calibration tools (weld gauges), be able to operate multiple types of welding equipment, and possess good trouble shooting / problem solving skills.
- Highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to work multiple shifts.
- Able to read and interpret drawings, technique sheets and weld symbols.
- Ability pass respirator fit-check and wearing of respirator for portions of or all of an 8 to 12-hour shift or as required. Must be clean shaven for fit-check and dawning of respirator. Must be able to comply with respirator fit-testing requirements. Clean-shaven status may be required in accordance with OSHA respirator safety standards. Weld Test Requirements:
- GMAW-SP & GMAW-P
- GMAW-P will be 3 position plate tests with MIL-100S-1 wire; GMAW-SP will be in 2G position with MIL-100S-1 wire.
- Welding tests will be bent immediately after the test
- Further volumetric welding tests will be given to mimic hull penetration and liner installations.
- Successful completion of volumetric weld tests is required for X-Ray placement.
Successful candidate must possess the willingness and ability to complete and pass all pre-employment and employment screening requirements which may include but are not limited to medical, psychological (if required by site), background and substance abuse screening(s).

The Monarch Transit Driver is responsible for driving the campus shuttles on all regularly scheduled routes, special event routes, and supplementing the SafeRide driving staff. The drivers will provide safe and hospitable transport for University community members and guests. Drivers will communicate department and University information as the first point of contact representing the office of Transportation and Parking Services for passengers on board Monarch Transit vehicles. Drivers will assist the Daytime and Evening Transportation Supervisors in filling driver and route schedules, as well as assist in the driving for special event services provided with the use of Monarch Transit vehicles. Drivers will be responsive to changes and alterations in scheduled and unexpected service operations.

Basic knowledge of the Commonwealth of Virginia Motor Vehicle laws. Some knowledge of occupational hazards, safety precautions, and safety regulations related to multi-passenger motor vehicle operation. Some knowledge of the proper procedures for operating and inspecting motor vehicles prior to their use. Some knowledge of MS Office or related software. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Skill in giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times. Navigational skills to read a map to locate addresses within designated service area. Demonstrated ability to learn the names and locations of buildings, the streets and addresses within the Safe Ride service area. Must Possess a Valid Virginia Class 'C' Commercial Driver's License with a 'P' [Passenger] endorsement (or other U.S. State- issued Commercial Driver's License accepted in Virginia, and meeting all minimum Virginia DMV Commercial Driver's License standards) and insurable driving record.

Considerable experience driving a twenty passenger or larger Body on Chassis (BOC) or similar vehicle preferred. Knowledge of Old Dominion University campus facility's names and locations, and surrounding neighborhood streets.
Conditions of Employment
Must possess and maintain a valid Virginia Class C Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) Endorsement. Must have and maintain an insurable driving record in accordance with University and state regulation. Must be available to work daytime and afternoon shifts, including weekends (Monday through Sunday. Must be able and willing to operate vehicles during inclement weather events, including snow, rain, and other adverse condition.
