Denim Production and Development Manager

BJD Inc. seeks a Los Angeles based Denim Production & Development Manager.

The ideal candidate should be able to closely work with our Design Team and Overseas Suppliers from design idea conception to production shipping. He/She will oversee the end-to-end production cycle, from initial tech pack handover to final shipment – ensuring all denim production meets our quality, fit, and wash standards.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

·        Production: Manage full production calendar, ensuring timely receipt of lab dips, fit samples, wash panels, PP Samples, and TOP samples

·        Quality Control: Conduct final inspections to ensure final production meets our standards

·        Product Development: Collaborate closely with factories to develop and approve new washes and treatments

·        Sourcing: Sourcing new suppliers, and maintaining relationships with existing ones

·        Logistics: Collaborate closely with our internal operations & warehousing team to track incoming freight and ensure accurate documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

·        Experience: Minimum 15+ years in denim production management

·        Technical Knowledge: A strong understanding of denim weights, composition, and machinery

·        Wash Expertise: Deep knowledge of laundry process, dry processes (whiskering and sanding), and wet processes (enzyme, bleach, tinting)

·        Communication: Strong organizational, communication skills and a team first mentality
