The Independent Operator Role

The Independent Operator (IO) is a hands-on, entrepreneurial role where individuals take ownership of their Grocery Outlet store. This is a unique business opportunity, not a franchise, giving operators the autonomy to run their business while benefiting from the support and resources of an established retail brand.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Paralegal with 3–5 years of experience in Federal and California Superior Courts to join our dynamic legal team. Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Experience: 3–5 years of litigation paralegal experience with demonstrated expertise in Federal and California Superior Courts.
• Proficiency in electronic filing systems (CM/ECF and California courts), familiarity with document management platforms (NetDocuments preferred) and e-discovery processes, and a strong understanding of court procedures, calendaring requirements, and multi-jurisdictional litigation rules.
• Ability to manage time tracking and billing for work accurately and efficiently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work overtime as needed; prior experience with multi-jurisdictional litigation and local rules is a plus.
