Essential Duties & Responsibilities • Serve as the primary technical expert for SATCOM Help Desk operations, including Tier I and Tier II support functions.
• Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring timely, professional, and accurate responses to user inquiries.
• Troubleshoot basic Government Computer (GC) connectivity, workstation issues, and network access problems.
• Perform network troubleshooting, including diagnosing basic routing, switching, firewall, and connectivity issues.
• Create, edit, and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and ticket updates.
• Manage and supervise help desk personnel supporting the SMC, ensuring high-quality performance and adherence to procedures.
• Oversee ticket creation, tracking, escalation, and closure using approved service desk systems.
• Provide Tier I support for phone calls, initial diagnoses, and ticket tracking; provide Tier II support for more advanced maintenance, configuration, and issue resolution.
• Coordinate shipment, RMA processing, and tracking of procured items in support of the SMC.
• Maintain logs, reports, and metrics on ticket flow, recurring issues, asset conditions, and customer satisfaction trends.
• Conduct regular communication with users, program managers, and engineering teams to coordinate troubleshooting and updates.
• Ensure compliance with help desk policies, security directives, network guidelines, and DoD IT standards.
• Train, mentor, and guide junior personnel to ensure consistent and quality support operations.
• Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce ticket volume, and enhance user experience.
Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications • Education Requirements: High school diploma or GED equivalent • Level of Experience Requirements: • Minimum of four (4) years of IT customer support experience.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a military environment • Exceptional customer service skills and professionalism.
• Basic troubleshooting skills for Government Computer (GC) connectivity issues.
• Knowledge of network fundamentals and common network troubleshooting techniques.
• Strong technical documentation skills, including writing SOPs, ticket notes, and system reports.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with customers, leadership, and technical teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced help desk environment with shifting priorities.
• Ability to handle RMAs, shipment coordination, and tracking procedures.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics • Understanding of SATCOM basics, network connectivity concepts, and common workstation/network issues.
• Familiarity with DoD IT environments, ticketing systems, and GC connectivity troubleshooting procedures.

Description:
Located in Hershey, PA, Milton Hershey School (MHS) is a top-notch home and school where over 2,200 pre-K through 12th grade students from disadvantaged backgrounds are provided an extraordinary, cost-free, career-focused education. This is made possible by the generosity of Milton and Catherine Hershey, who established the school in 1909 and ensured it was fully endowed. Thanks to their foresight and generosity, the school has over 12,000 graduates and continues to expand to serve more students.
MHS is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. In this unique and life-changing career, couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students living in the home. Flex Houseparents play a vital role in creating a structured, family-like environment that fosters students’ academic, emotional, and social development so they can reach their full potential.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing daily supervision and mentorship
- Managing household routines and student schedules
- Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
- Driving students to activities, as well as planning and actively engaging in developmental and recreational activities with students
- Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
- Overseeing budgeting and household reporting
Upon hire, Flex Houseparents initially support various student homes and follow a working schedule of nine consecutive days on duty, followed by three days off. On weekdays, houseparents have unscheduled time while students are in school. Flex Houseparents eventually transition into a Placed Houseparent role, where they live and work with the same group of students in their own student home.

• Review, develop, and maintain DoD logistics documentation including supply, purchasing, provisioning, and RAM analysis materials.
• Lead global logistics planning, forecasting, distribution scheduling, and ERP‑based logistics tracking activities.
• Support VSAT SATCOM and baseband communications systems logistical requirements including shipping, staging, warehousing, handling, and lifecycle support.

• Develop and enforce standardized logistics processes across all supported locations.

Physical Setting: • Work performed in a combination of office, warehouse, and Army facility environments at Aberdeen Proving Ground and remote locations.
• Occasional visits to global distribution points, staging areas, and logistics hubs.
Schedule and Flexibility: • Standard full-time schedule with flexibility required to support global logistics timelines.
• Occasional evenings, weekends, or rapid response tasking to support mission needs.
• International travel may be required.

Maintains overall responsibility and authority for conducting site operations.
Implements sound management principles critical to advising Government personnel.
Interprets technical data, using a variety of methods and approaches to perform required work.
Responsible for the efficient planning, coordination, and management of space and logistics within SEC.
Responsible for developing, updating, and managing floor plans for administrative and laboratory spaces.
Ensures floor plans are accurate and reflect current space utilization levels.
Collaborates with stakeholders to understand space requirements and makes necessary adjustments.
Oversees the allocation and utilization of administrative and laboratory space to ensure optimization.
Develops and implements space management strategies to accommodate organizational needs.
Uses the Workspace Management Portal (or similar applications) to manage space usage and recommends changes to improve efficiency.
Supports reorganization and relocation efforts by planning and managing all administrative and laboratory personnel and property moves.
Coordinates with internal teams and vendors to ensure smooth transitions.
Move equipment and office assets in support of mission.
Weight limit may exceed 50 pounds Develops timelines and manages resources to minimize disruption during moves.
Communicates directly with leadership and effected employees during reorganization and relocation efforts.
Applies a broad knowledge of telecommunication systems, facilities, grounds, and maintenance functions to manage work performance requirements.
Perform light maintenance and minor repairs (i.e.
hang white boards, pictures, paint touch up, reset thermostats, test airflow from heat and AC systems) Move equipment and office assets in support of mission.
Weight limit may exceed 50 pounds Assist the Facilities Manager in managing the Facilities Mailbox Prepare, submit and track Service Orders (SO) and Individual Job Orders (IJO) Post weekly updates on each open work order.
Escort fire and safety officials on inspections Prepare management reports pertaining to facility management Escort facility and custodial contractors to secure areas.

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications Relevant Work experience in Space Management.
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field such as Facilities Management, Business Administration, Engineering or a related discipline Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
