Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking an Experienced Operational Software Deployment & Integration Engineer (Level 3) to join our Phantom Works team in Berkeley, MO.
The Operational Software Deployment & Integration Engineer supports field deployment and integration activities while maintaining strong alignment with lab and development teams in St. Louis. This role provides surge capacity, technical depth, and sustainment engineering to ensure smooth transition of releases into operational environments.
Position Responsibilities
- Support on-site software installations, upgrades, and patch validation.
- Assist in system checkout and verification events.
- Validate environment parity between lab and field deployments.
- Reproduce field defects within lab environments for root cause analysis.
- Capture logs, telemetry, and system state data to support diagnostics.
- Support cybersecurity hardening and compliance validation efforts.
- Collaborate closely with Integration & Test teams in St. Louis.
- Validate release packages prior to deployment.
- Ensure configuration consistency across lab and operational environments.
- Support continuous improvement of deployment automation and DevSecOps pipelines.
Travel may be required up to 25% of the time; Domestically and/or internationally depending on business needs.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- 9+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
- 3+ years of experience in software integration, test, DevSecOps, or systems engineering.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
