Utilizes infection control within department and hospital. Uses established techniques for CT or MRI equipment. Responsible for all pertinent information documented properly on images ‐ name, date, technologist’s initials, position markers in view, and MSA readout. 4. Assists in direct resident care as necessary.
5. Assists the RN with the admission process of residents in a safe and accurate manner.
6. Assumes responsibility for the charge nurse role when designated by: 7. Provides direction and leadership in resident care to nursing staff through delegation of assignments and ensuring that quality of care is delivered.
8. Completes assigned tasks and duties for maximum effectiveness and functioning of the unit.
9. Properly verifies and transcribes physician orders.
10. Ensures that all orders are faxed to provider pharmacy.
11. Facilitates the appropriate documentation for daily activities on the unit as well as for admissions and discharges.

- Resident Monitoring ‐ Monitors residents as appropriate for condition, status and safety according to nursing policy. 1. Recognizes change in resident condition and reports it to the Supervising RN.
2. Works to ensure resident safety is maintained in all aspects of care by following policies.
3. Notifies the physician and family in a timely manner of changes in resident condition.
4. Maintains continuity of care by contributing to resident status reports ie. Participating in shift report.
5. Documents on all resident care activities in an accurate and timely manner.

- Medication Administration‐Performs safe administration and complete documentation of medications in accordance with nursing policy. a) Follows medication administration policy.
- Safe Discharge/Discharge Planning 1. Completes resident education as necessary and documents all education provided.
2. Provides discharge instructions and gives accurate information.

- Demonstrates the ability to safely and effectively use department equipment.1. Demonstrates knowledge and ability to safely and effectively use equipment.
2. Uses all equipment per policy (ie. lifts).

- Demonstrates working knowledge and understanding of emergency preparedness plans and operations within the nursing facility. 1. Aware of and actively participates in emergency preparedness procedures and operations.
2. Actively participates in all actual Codes and drills.

- Infection Control‐Provide safe and effective resident care in accordance with Infection Control policies and procedures 1. Wears appropriate PPE as warranted.
2. Follows hand hygiene protocol.

Pay Rate for this position is $38.20/hr flat contractual rate.
