Senior Safety Manager Job Description: The HITT Senior Safety Manager is responsible for the safety performance and safety development of their assigned business units and direct reports.
This individual is seen as a subject matter expert within HITT and plays a pivotal role in developing HITT’s corporate safety program and safety culture.

Job Summary

Essential Functions
Patient Care
- Provide direct patient care in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act, including specialized duties related to end-of-life care.
- Implement current nursing practice following a comprehensive assessment and the established plan of care.
- Assess and educate patients and their families/caregivers on diagnosis, care needs, and symptom management.
- Use and prepare equipment and supplies safely and effectively, consistently adhering to aseptic technique.
- Deliver appropriate pain and symptom management; monitor patient response to treatments and medications.
Communication & Coordination
- Document all care accurately and timely in alignment with the plan of care.
- Participate in care coordination and promptly report needs requiring involvement from other disciplines (HHA, OT, PT, MSW, ST, Dietician) to the RN and/or Clinical Care Manager.
Additional Responsibilities
- Participate in ongoing personal and professional development.
- Contribute to quality assessment and performance improvement (QAPI) activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Registered Nurse.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing or vocational nursing program.
- Minimum of three years of nursing experience preferred; home health, community-based, or medical-surgical experience ideal.
- Current state LPN/LVN licensure.
- Current CPR certification.
- Demonstrated adherence to professional nursing standards and practices.
- Licensed driver with a reliable, insured automobile meeting organizational requirements.
Must have experience operating forklifts inside truck trailers.
Requirements: Must have 1-2 years of warehouse experience operating lift trucks (ie., Sit-down double fork and sit-down clamp) Must satisfactorily pass forklift driving training program or demonstrate safe handling of forklift in an on-site test.
Must have experience operating forklifts inside truck trailers Previous completion of a Forklift training program or current forklift certification is preferred.
Skills/Abilities Must successfully obtain and maintain a valid Forklift and Safety Certifications during employment.
Proficiency in operating technical machinery and scanners, Warehouse Management System (WMS) for task completion.

Load and unload trucks efficiently in accordance with department standards (this includes driving into the trailers to load/unload) Moving and transferring materials and finished goods in a high volume production environment.
Support WMS functions as related to inventory and load management (IE.
Pick list, PGI).
Check accuracy of finished product count, product ID, order destination and carrier ID before loading any vehicle and accurately complete all required paperwork Load in/outbound finished goods using PIC sheet or direct load function on forklift.
All transferring of product and material must be performed with a high degree of accuracy and accountability and in accordance with the established standard processes and procedures.
Must adhere to all safety standards, Leader Standard Work (LSW) and company policies.
Maintain work area in an organized, safe and clean manner Know locations of and how to operate emergency stop buttons and fire extinguishers.
Complete forklift checklist which includes daily inspection of forklifts.
Show ability to change the forklift propane tank as needed.
