We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and professional Legal Assistant to support our litigation team and assist with client intake and development initiatives.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Litigation Support:
- Assist in preparing pleadings, motions, notices, affidavits, and correspondence
- E-file documents through the Florida Courts E-Filing Portal
- Prepare eviction packets for processing
- Assist in managing litigation deadlines and ticklers
- Track service of process and follow up on returns
- Coordinate appointments, consultations, depositions and hearings
- Assist attorneys with trial and hearing preparation
- Maintain organized files within the firm’s case management system
- Monitor court dockets and update staff and attorneys regarding case activity, deadlines, tasks, and workflows
- Prepare billing entries and assist with file closing procedures
Client Communication & Intake:
- Answer and return phone calls throughout operations
- Communicate with the judiciary and opposing parties regarding relevant matters
- Communicate with staff and clients regarding case status, documentation requests, requirements, and deadlines
- Assist with new client onboarding and file setup
Client Development Support:
- Assist the Client Development Associate in tracking and managing inbound leads
- Follow up with prospective clients
- Help maintain CRM records and ensure timely follow-up
- Track referral sources and assist with reporting metrics
- Coordinate scheduling for consultations, presentations, and outreach meetings
- Assist with preparation of marketing materials, presentation packets, and client welcome materials
Operational Support:
- Maintain and complete internal checklists, tasks, and workflows
- Support the firm’s performance metrics and reporting goals
- Help maintain standard operating procedures for eviction and litigation processing
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 2 years legal assistant or litigation support experience preferred
- Experience with Florida landlord-tenant law strongly preferred
- Familiarity with Florida Courts E-Filing Portal and Federal ECF Filing
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and deadline awareness
- Ability to manage multiple files and tasks simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Adobe, Excel, and case management software
- Comfortable communicating professionally with property managers and business owners
- Experience with billable time reporting

The starting salary for this role is $86,000 to $102,000 per year, depending on experience.
About the role:
Oversees PenAir Credit Union’s fraud mitigation strategies and physical security program, ensuring effective risk reduction practices and timely deployment of loss prevention initiatives. Reviews industry and regulatory developments to identify gaps, recommends improvements, and establishes metrics to monitor fraud trends. Collaborates across departments to strengthen overall program effectiveness.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains and demonstrates knowledge of new & pending laws that will affect the Credit Union’s operations. Maintain a working knowledge of Credit Union services including debit and credit cards, ATM, ACH, draft, and wire processing, BillPay, account to account, person to person, etc..
- Manage the development, testing, and implementation of new fraud rules and strategies to improve program performance and mitigate loss, while monitoring, analyzing, and communicating fraud trends and losses to staff and management. Recommend procedural enhancements across departments based on dispute and case analysis to strengthen overall fraud mitigation efforts.
- Oversee all aspects of the Physical Security program & building projects. Respond to all security violations as required by regulation or credit union security policy. Coordinates with appropriate law enforcement agencies, financial institutions, vendors, & auditors.
- Assist in supporting daily operations related to fraud management. Coordinates and communicates with appropriate departments to ensure they are adequately informed and trained in fraud detection and prevention best practices.

Monitors the competitive environment within the community and makes recommendations to the direct leader regarding adjustments necessary to maintain a competitive position
Provides product feedback to their direct leader, including recommendations regarding new items to carry or those that should be discontinued

Oversees product merchandising and maintains proper stock levels through appropriate product ordering
Conducts store inventory counts and reconciliations according to company guidelines

Physical Demands:
Ability to stock merchandise from store receiving to shelving; ability to place product, weighing up to 45 pounds, on shelving at various heights
Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry and walk about the store

Education and Experience:

A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge
Prior management experience preferred
Travel:
Full-Time Store Manager Trainees will often train at multiple locations and must have flexibility to travel within divisional requirements
