Job Summary:
The Data Center Material Logistics Manager is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the end-to-end supply chain and material flow for the project site. You will design and implement the logistics plan that ensures all materials—from bulk commodities to specialized equipment—are procured, received, tracked, and staged to meet aggressive construction schedules. You are responsible for optimizing site space, managing vendor relationships, and leading the logistics team to eliminate bottlenecks that could delay field production.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive site logistics plan, including designated delivery routes, off-loading zones, and strategic staging areas.
- Directly supervise and mentor the Material Logistics Technicians, ensuring they follow standardized procedures for receiving, inventorying, and delivering materials.

- Conduct project meetings, publish, and distribute minutes, develop milestones, and maintain monthly reports.
- Manage day-to-day office and field operations.
- Review the plans and specifications for constructability and construction schedules. Advise the project team of any issues or deficiencies.
- Prepare, manage, and update the detailed project schedule with sequence and activity duration including procurement items.

- Review monthly contractor billing and perform job walks to substantiate progress.
- Keeps all relative parties informed of progress throughout the life of the project.
- Develop, manage, maintain, and assist with contract negotiation of new and existing vendors.
- Oversee RFI and Submittal Review Process.
- Manage the Change Order Process with Owner and Subcontractors.
- Manage input and delivery of work products from internal team members to ensure that new data center spaces comply with the project requirements, customer requirements, all engineering standards, applicable codes, and specifications.
- Understand project budget/estimate and budget set-up.
- Develop and understand trade contractor and supplier contract scopes, with a constant focus on procurement and lead-time of materials to maintain schedule.
- Develop, document, and drive lessons learned, process improvements, cost, and schedule savings initiatives throughout the project lifecycle.
- Work closely with the proposal team to coordinate design criteria with budgetary issues and ongoing maintenance and operation of existing facilities.
- Awareness of the importance of mission-critical facility operation
- Safety standards knowledge and enforcement. (OSHA 30 Hour preferred)
- *Schedule shifts may incl nights/weekends as per bell curve requirements
- Additional duties may be assigned as project needs adjust at Management's discretion.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience (Desired):
- Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, or a similar field, or equivalent experience
- Construction/Engineering/Architectural degree a plus
- 5-7 years of experience in managing construction projects required
- Datacenter experience is preferred
- Experience in CSA (civil, structural, architectural) and MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) construction management is a requirement.
Computer Skills:
- Competency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
- Proficient in PROCORE

Supervise one or more Superintendent or Project Coordinator or Assistant Project Manager
Travel Required: 30-50%

The Role We Want You For
Clayco is seeking our next great Superintendent for our national Mission Critical Business Unit. In this role you will provide on-site supervision and quality control for field operations and onsite management of design/build construction projects. The person in this role also reviews documents, responds to scope modification evaluations during construction, and works to complete Clayco projects with respect to Safety, Quality, Schedule and Cost objectives. The Superintendent will observe work in the field and compares to drawings to ensure installations are in accordance with drawings and specifications. You will work closely with clients and as part of a team to provide the best solutions on design-build projects valued anywhere from a $20 million to over $200 million.

Requirements
- B.S. in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent trade experience with progression to management levels.
- 5-10 years of experience in highly technical commercial/industrial construction management, on projects of 50+ million, ideally with design-build experience.
- Ability to supervise construction employees and subcontractors to accomplish work within budget and schedule constraints.
- Strong project safety record and commitment to safety and quality.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to travel or relocate to jobsite.
- Creative and results-oriented with a sense of urgency.
- Ability to walk the job site, climb ladders, and multi floor scaffolding.
- Ability to lift objects at least 50lbs.
