IT Field Operations Senior
Location: Longview,WA
The opportunity:
- As a member of Customer’s IT Field Operations Group, you will be responsible for providing end user application and hardware support, including PC workstations, printers/drivers, advanced network and telecom troubleshooting, server support and level II resolution of incident tickets while operating in a 24x7 manufacturing environment.
- You will provide advanced desk-side support, interfacing with a diverse user community in a variety of office, laboratory, and production equipment locations. This will include installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, support, and control of critical technology infrastructure.
- In addition to your technical role in support of the administrative offices and production facilities at the designated Customer location, you may also be called upon to provide support for other regional locations as needed.
- As a Field Operations resource, you will establish, communicate, and implement customer IT policies and standards to your team and local business partners.
- Work closely with the IT enterprise organizations, including the Service Desk, to ensure proper communication, escalation, and resolution of disruptions in the technology service delivery.
How you will impact Customer:
- Manage resource allocations and task assignments for local projects.
- Update of the support procedures as a document owner.
- Plan and participate in the mentoring of technicians to facilitate their development.
- Generate innovative recommendations and initiate technology change requests.
- Contribute in a project environment; both locally focused and enterprise-wide and may direct others during short projects.
- As the IT Field Operations Sr. you will serve as the primary site contact with other technology organizations and vendors and support the local business leadership team and users as the IT site representative.
- In addition, you will provide hands-on support for Microsoft Windows and Apple operating systems, smart phones, and wired/wireless network solutions.
- As the on-site 2nd-level support team you will be called on to perform analytical, technical, and administrative work to aid in the ongoing support of technology assets in the enterprise, including installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, supporting, and controlling critical business and IT infrastructure and applications.
- Engage with IT peers and teams from other sites to ensure adherence to standard processes.
- Work in an ITIL-compliant, service management environment, maintaining both personal and team SLA compliance.
- Troubleshoot complex hardware and software problems and create innovative solutions.
- Install common, standard, and complex software and hardware peripherals.
- Solid understanding of networking and the ability to utilize existing tools to test and troubleshoot network issues.
- Ability to perform wi-fi site surveys utilizing existing tools.
- Assist with end-user questions, problems, and training.
- Configure complex, third-party, networked, and site-specific applications.
- Configure and troubleshoot Windows and iOS computing endpoints (PCs Tablets, VMUs, kiosks).
- Configure and troubleshoot Android, iOS, Windows, and Chromium OS mobile devices.
- Work with technology assets including single-user and networked desktop and laptop clients; desktop and network printers, tablets, and vehicle-mounted devices, wired, wireless and telecom networks.
- Correct implementation of the company’s processes and support and maintain IT servers; network switches, cabling; process control clients; and other technology assets and solutions in the computer rooms as needed.
- Participate in an on-call duty roster with a weekly rotation of 24x7 coverage as required by business unit operations.
- Demonstrated ability to use problem management tool to research and document problem resolution.
- Serve as the primary IT site contact with local business leadership and other technology organizations as well as vendors.
- Manage local technology asset inventory.
- Provide guidance to local sites regarding IT asset acquisition and technology change requests using the tools provided.
- Provide routine support for audio-visual collaboration and video conference systems.
- Provide direct technical support and documentation to users at all levels of the organization (including VIP users).
What you need to succeed:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but a technical school degree plus experience and technical certifications is acceptable with a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a production IT manufacturing environment.
- Project management experience, training, or certification.
- Experience in managing a production-critical IT environment.
- Minimum 5 years proven PC/Windows experience.
- Minimum 2 years network and telecom support experience including moves adds and changes: cabling, general device, and connectivity troubleshooting; punch-downs; cross-connects.
- Excellent problem solving, dispute resolution and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of IT service management framework and a respect for the ITIL Management Framework.
- Must have advanced experience configuring and troubleshooting personal computers, including all aspects of hardware and software support in a Windows operating system environment.
- Network related discipline or certifications are a plus.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office365, including Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Support Tools, SCCM, WSUS and Active Directory concepts.
- Excellent skills in written/oral communications, including group facilitation, presentation, and communicating across entire spectrum of an organization.
- Ability to proactively engage and communicate with all IT functional areas while ensuring alignment with local applications, Process Control Network (PCN) and business systems.
- The position requires frequent lifting of equipment. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be willing to travel (locally and domestically) and have a valid driver’s license.

General Description
Performs advanced professional, technical and analytical work with administrative responsibility in automation systems implementation and development.
Works independently, under limited supervision, reporting major activities through periodic meetings.
Provides design, procurement, implementation, and administration of the network infrastructure - routers, switches, and plans; provides procurement, implementation, and administration of firewalls; provides administration of the Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phone system; and manages network related projects. Design and deploy multi-vendor LAN/WAN architectures.
Analyzes, diagnoses, and rectifies issues related to server and/or desktop/laptop protocol and communication problems as they are reported on an emergency or non-emergency basis; including issues related to missing drives and group policy scripts.
Completes ad-hoc projects based on end user and Information Technology (IT) analyst needs, including troubleshooting and updating and maintaining file systems.
Performs change control tasks, including implementing and updating web applications as needed by application analysts; launches and implements any new technologies approved by management and special task force; studies, investigates, reviews, and recommends implementation of evolving and emerging technologies.
Performs analysis of systems designs related to networking, wifi and security; develops applications, and documents work flow and processes; reviews peer-reviewed and professional material in digital and paper formats to keep up with the latest trends in both the library and technology community. Proactive analysis using SNMP, NetFlow, and Wireshark. Develop analysis via Python and Ansible for configuration.

Ensures maintenance of NIST/HIPAA standards and network hardening.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Requires a two (2) year degree from an accredited trade, technical or vocational school, college or university with major coursework in computer science or closely related field.

Requires four (4) years of experience in supporting users through analyzing, diagnosing and resolving computer systems issues related to desktop/laptop protocols and communication problems or closely related experience.

The Cybersecurity Developer role is responsible for the development, programming, and coding of Information Technology solutions using ReactJS, Redux, D3 and NodeJS to enable Cybersecurity applications. They will engage in all phases of the software development lifecycle which include: gathering and analysing user/business system requirements, responding to outages and creating application system models. The Opportunity:
The Enterprise Systems Manager is responsible for the design, administration, maintenance, and performance of the core systems utilized at the College of Medicine and affiliated entities; to include customized consumption of university core resources, as well as uniquely owned system and services for the college. Acting as Unit Leader, the role will provide direct oversight of daily activities, own escalated incident resolution, champion system implementation efforts, and manage relationships with relative technical partners and vendors.
Responsibilities:
Operations, Systems Administration, and Technical Management:
Act as Health Information Technology Enterprise Systems unit leader, overseeing the planning, architecture, installation, implementation, and maintenance of the core and unique systems and services for the College of Medicine and affiliated programs.
Supervise Systems Administrators, providing guidance over daily activities; including hiring, training, development, task assignment, and coaching.
Perform high-level systems activities to maintain workload balance and service escalated tasks.
Ensure systems/services are appropriately maintained, meeting operational expectations, and align with security standards.
Own the protection against technical vulnerabilities, as well as investigation and mitigation of incidents

Represent Health IT at college/university/external technical committees/forums. Seek opportunities to increase efficiency(software licensing, economies of scale procurement, standardization, redundancy in efforts and resources.
Build and strengthen open collaborative relationships between all university IT units, AHSC Departments, and health partners to align efforts across organizations, ensure transparency, manage expectations, as well as create awareness and a sense of common purpose.
Coordinate strategic efforts between stakeholders in the development and enforcement of department, college, and university policies, procedures, and best practices.
Maintain advanced working knowledge and competency for unit, respective to current and future state of the college's systems, through regular research, forum monitoring, educational programs, and conference participation.

Conduct & Log Threat Assessments/Open-Source Checks. Manage and disseminate the collection of criminal intelligence data for entry into an information storage and retrieval systems. Review overnight activity reports and conduct criminal intelligence workups for individuals identified in the reports; disseminate information to the appropriate investigative entity.

Support Patrol/Investigations Division with Video Footage. Use open-source data and software to document and track potential threatening individuals, situations, and security-related issues to the campus of Georgia Tech.

Conduct investigations for assigned cases and provide assistance for non-assigned cases. Under limited to moderate supervision, provides technical solutions to faculty, staff, and students for all aspects of classroom Academic Technologies, including but not limited to displays, complex audio and control systems, and lecture capture software. Significant focus on IP based network audio and visual (AVOIP) academic technology primarily comprised of Extron, QSC, and Dante environments. Ability to work independently as a subject matter expert with an emphasis on learning new skills through training and certifications.
All work and results are documented within a ticketing application. Learning Environments specialists are dispatched to provide hands-on support when a remote solution is not available. Must be able to work within an ITIL, metrics driven environment. All work is guided by the published ITIL Service Operations Framework. Each individual is expected to coordinate with our Service Desk and Mobile Action teams to deliver fully comprehensive support. Must be capable of remote, phone, and chat support, as well as on-site visits and working a service counter. All IT Support Specialists work in a 0-3 Tiered support environment. Any specialist may be required to work in any of the four tiers as needed.
IT Support Specialists (ITSS) are expected to understand and follow consistent defined processes for all service interactions, while observing established standards. The ITSS focuses on continual improvement of their own skills as well as the documented service and troubleshooting processes used by the myIT division.
Hours of operation will vary with season and semester schedule and may include limited nights and/or weekend work.

Qualifications:

Under moderate supervision, the IT Support Specialist - Service Desk (ITSS-SD), provides technical solutions to faculty, staff, and students for all aspects of PC/Apple/Mobile device support and configuration within a wide variety of end user environments.
All tasks and outcomes are documented and communicated within a ticketing application. The ITSS-SD works within an ITIL, metrics driven service operation environment providing technical set-up, support, service, and creative solutions for technology users. The ITSS-SD functions as a member of the Central Action Center (Service Desk) call center, owning and sharing tasks as workload as volume dictates. Must be capable of remote support, phone and chat support, support via e-mail, multi-team collaboration, and other duties as assigned. They will also coordinate with our Mobile Action and Learning Environments teams to deliver fully comprehensive support. All IT Support Specialists work in a 0-3 Tiered support environment. Any specialist may be required to work in any of the four tiers as needed.
The ITSS-SD must be able to work independently on moderately complex Windows and Apple technology while following documented protocols. All team members create documentation for the division's knowledge base. This role requires remaining current with emerging technologies via training, self-study, and peer interaction.
The ITSS-SDs are expected to understand and follow consistent defined processes for all service interactions while observing established standards. All team members focus on continual improvement in all areas.

Position Overview
As a ServiceNow Sr. Analyst, you will be responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and automating the existing infrastructure and supporting processes for the ServiceNow Platform. Your focus will be on executing and maintaining environments that support both internal and external application solutions, ensuring technologies are available and performing to meet business needs. You will define and implement technology solutions within the ServiceNow platform that align with Securian's business objectives and overall IT strategies. You will design, develop, and deploy applications within the ServiceNow platform. Collaboration with diverse business and technology teams will be essential. You will research trends impacting the ServiceNow technology platform. Finally, you will provide direction, guidance, and thought leadership to ITSM process owners to enhance their competency in leveraging CMDB, incident, problem, asset, change, knowledge, and service catalog management processes, streamlining operations.

Scope:

Compensation and Benefits:

Job Description:
Ensure accurate, concise, and successful delivery of process technical documentation. The Senior Infrastructure Technical Writer is required for production of internal support documentation of Enterprise-class infrastructure and cloud platforms.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Research and analyze requirements for new infrastructure environment builds. Independent study of proposed data center and cloud solutions for all associated systems and hardware components.
- Create and maintain complex Visio flow diagrams that illustrate transaction traffic patterns, network connectivity, and all configurable system components.
- Work with project managers to map out documentation strategies and schedules.
- Collaborate with distributed engineers (Windows, Unix, and Cloud engineers, Network, Security, SQL DB, and Monitoring) to gather technical build information for documentation deliverables.
- Author and publish the documentation suite for each infrastructure project for two core audiences (online HTML knowledge articles for global Operations Support teams authored in ServicePoint Knowledge Management System, and infrastructure reference guides for Platform Engineering authored in MS Word).
- Host virtual documentation turnover sessions to Operations Support teams using Microsoft Teams.
- Participate as a key member of a large, centralized documentation team, taking part in peer reviews, mentoring, and exchange of best practices ideas and concepts.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Four-year college degree, preferably in Computer Science or English.
- Ten years minimum experience producing technical documentation, preferably in the systems/hardware and data center infrastructure IT areas.
- Working knowledge of infrastructure server farms, network communications protocols, firewall security, system/application monitoring, WAN/LAN configurations.
- Strong Visio diagramming skills/experience.
- Excellent written and verbal skills. Must be able to build a rapport with infrastructure engineers, working closely with them to produce comprehensive documentation that describes sophisticated distributed platforms for internal support staff consumers.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills. Must be able to juggle multiple projects under tight deadlines while being flexible to accommodate shifting schedules.
- Self-starter. Must be able to take projects and run with them with very little supervision. Must be analytical with a thirst for new technological knowledge. Proven track record of performing research and independent self-study as part of production of documentation deliverables.
- Experience with running/hosting Teams meetings. Position requires hosting both large Teams meeting presentation-type sessions and smaller collaborative Teams meetings.
