Job Description
Under provider direction, the RN provides skilled nursing care to patients in a variety of clinical settings. Scope of responsibility is characterized by use of nursing process to assess, plan, intervene and evaluate human responses to actual or potential health problems utilizing appropriate practices, standards, protocols and guidelines. This position reports to a Practice Manager.
• Provides office-based nursing care in collaboration with provider
• Assesses physical and psychosocial needs and environmental factors affecting patients and their families, formulates nursing plan of care and ensures continuity of patient care through appropriate nursing evaluation and intervention
• Demonstrates independent nursing actions based on assessment and problem identification
• Triages telephone calls and displays ability to initiate appropriate nursing intervention in prompt, precise, and professional manner
• Assists patients and family members or other clients with concern and empathy; respects confidentiality and privacy
Travel to other regional offices, as needed
Qualifications
Current state of Connecticut RN license and current CPR certification
Three years of experience in a medical practice preferred
Experience with medical software

This 28-bed unit, comprised of all private rooms and has been certified by The Joint Commission as a Primary Stroke Center. Our staff includes Registered Nurses, Nurse Assistants, Physical Therapists, Speech Therapists, Administrative Support Staff, with Physicians available 24-7. Our unit is equipped with the highest levels of technology including Tele-neurology and Electronic Medical Records. Our staff works in a collaborative environment with strong interdisciplinary teams in a patient centered care model with a richly diverse work space.

Surgical Services at North Alabama Medical Center consists of 15 surgical suites, 6 Endoscopy Rooms, 6 private Pre-Admission Testing rooms, and 30 same day surgery rooms. Our surgical team consists of specially trained surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, surgical technologists, certified nurse anesthetists and other highly trained professionals. Qualifications and requirements

- Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.

Job Description
Under provider direction, the RN provides skilled nursing care to patients in a variety of clinical settings. Scope of responsibility is characterized by use of nursing process to assess, plan, intervene and evaluate human responses to actual or potential health problems utilizing appropriate practices, standards, protocols and guidelines. This position reports to a Practice Manager.
• Provides office-based nursing care in collaboration with provider
• Assesses physical and psychosocial needs and environmental factors affecting patients and their families, formulates nursing plan of care and ensures continuity of patient care through appropriate nursing evaluation and intervention
• Demonstrates independent nursing actions based on assessment and problem identification
• Triages telephone calls and displays ability to initiate appropriate nursing intervention in prompt, precise, and professional manner
• Assists patients and family members or other clients with concern and empathy; respects confidentiality and privacy
Travel to other regional offices, as needed
Qualifications
Current state of Connecticut RN license and current CPR certification
Three years of experience in a medical practice preferred
Experience with medical software

Registered Nurse - Medical-Surgical- PRN
Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Reports to the Director or Manager of Department.

Patient Populations Served: Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult.
Exposure: Regular occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens and hazardous materials.
Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
