Emergency Medicine Physician Job Details
- Location: Dublin, GA 31021 – Southern Georgia healthcare jobs in a friendly community with beautiful parks and a lively downtown.
- Facility Type: Sole community hospital, Level 3 Trauma Center
- Emergency Department: 28 ER bays, 54,000 annual visits
- Shift Lengths: 8, 10, or 12 hours (flexible scheduling for emergency medicine jobs)
- Estimated Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $6,350 - $7,520
- Assignment Duration: 12-week locum tenens contract (potential for extension)
- Start Date: January 8, 2026
- Orientation: 1 day orientation, 1-2 days shadowing
Emergency Medicine Physician Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (within 5 years of eligibility)
- Case logs required for credentialing
- New graduates welcome if Board Eligible
- Emergency Medicine experience preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment
Emergency Medicine Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality emergency medical care to diverse patient populations
- Collaborate with experienced ER support staff, including nurses and APPs for triage and clinical support
- Manage patients in a Level 3 Trauma Center
- Participate in admissions (ED admission rate: 15%)
- Document cases and maintain accurate medical records
- Engage in orientation and shadowing for a smooth transition into the emergency department
