Position Summary:
Our ICU unit is comprised of 16 beds including CVICU, MICU, Surgical, Neuro and Trauma (10-11 beds for CV/ICU Patients) with a 1:2 nurse to patient ratio. You will be playing a crucial role in making our community at Lake Havasu City healthier and will be part of a team with a positive and collaborative work environment. To ensure that patients' needs are met you will be working side-by-side with our Multi Care Technicians. This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively across disciplines to coordinate patient care as well as opportunity for growth and enhance your skills in critical care.

Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:
Associate's degree required
Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) License or Compact State Registered Nurse (RN) required on hire
Basic Life Support Certification is required within 30 days of hire.
ACLS required upon hire, BLS is not required if employee has current ACLS
PALS required within 1 year of hire.
Handle with Care within 30 days of orientation - required annually.
TNCC within 6 months of hire.
Must pass a rhythm recognition test within 90 days of hire.
1 year ICU experience preferred

How you'll contribute

A Registered Nurse (RN), Dialysis who excels in this role:

- Assures optimum quality patient care by serving as a resource person for other staff members, patients, and family.

- Coordinates patient care with other departments and assists the physician as needed.

- Oversees treatment of medical and surgical patients needing dialysis procedures.

- Dialysis delivery of care includes assessment, problem identification, interventions and treatments, and evaluation of actual, potential or perceived physical or psychological problems.

- Procedures or treatments provided in Dialysis include but are not limited to: Dialysis admission assessment, medication, IV therapy, administration of blood and blood products, pain control, O2 therapy, assisting physician with Quintons, dressing application and changes, Quinton Cath, declotting Quinton catheters, accessing AV shunt for diagnostic tests i.e. venograms, monitoring patient continually during Hemoreplacement treatment.
