Liaising with other Physicians
Performing surgeries to repair veins and arteries and to threat other vascular conditions, both in the Hospital, Surgery Center and in our Catheterization Lab
Become credentialed with at least one local hospital, minimal hospital call required
Keeping abreast of advancements in vascular surgery as well as the broader medical field
Scheduling follow-ups to monitor patient s well-being and to advise them on suitable aftercare measures and medication they might require.
Building relationships with patients and referring providers and dialysis centers
Read and interpret all Ultrasounds that are performed in office
Dictate and sign all office notes, and surgical notes at the end of each day"

We are seeking a qualified Physician Assistant to join our Cardiothoracic Surgery team on a locum tenens basis. This is a full-time position with coverage required from Monday to Friday. The call schedule is 1:2, meaning every other night and every other weekend. Responsibilities:
* Perform endoscopic vein harvest independently.
* Assist with various open heart procedures, including CABG, valve repair/replacement, aneurysm repairs, ECMO, etc.
Additional Details:
* Preference for full-time availability, but flexible scheduling options are open for consideration if the provider is available 3-4 days a week.
* Call duties entail being contacted on cell phones and being called back 1-2 times per month.
* A California DEA is required for this position.
